Dumb Questions Amnesty

Which is less offensive, wishing someone a happy [religious day/period that you don't subscribe to], or happy holidays?

I wonder if the people who get upset with the concept of Christmas also have an issue with Thursdays. Thor and Jesus are about as relevant as each other. Except Thor is cooler, obviously, hence we celebrate Thor’s Day every week.

I also wonder if Jesus would have had hammer envy, given that Thor’s hammer was substantially bigger than your typical Carpenter’s Hammer.

Woeden’s day is cooler than Thor’s day because Woeden had a cool beard and a flying six legged horse. Also, he’s pretty much the original Santa but bad ■■■ and into war and stuff so… Woeden. Woooo!

I read in the Sorry Saga thread today that the Moon sucks. I agree, I’m in serious go-slow mode right now.

Didn’t he win a Brownlow?

Had Charters as a personal trainer that year.
No, they taste more like Gliders.

Urgh, I swear I’ve seen it spelled that way. Apparently it’s Woden and of course “Odin”

You could just wish them a merry mid winter festival, or winter solstice, or even a Happy Saturnalia!

If pushing something to a later date is postponing, and bringing it forward is preponing - then is doing it on time just poning?

Ponaming?

Do trousers ‘trouse’ and if so, how would that be described?

“Her legs were all un-naked and troused”

I went to a seminar and before the break the lecturer said we could go outside to ‘open our legs’.

It’s not a bad idea. You know who have things sussed out? Polynesian blokes. Getting a cool breeze up your lavalava on a warm day is one of summer’s most welcome delights.

Yeah, but nah, if you were in the Northern hemisphere perhaps… I am pretty sure it is now summer here in the Southern hemisphere so those things don’t really apply to us.

How about a Merry Mid Summer Festival, Summer Solstice, Summermas, or just Happy Shoe Day (has about as much credibility as Christmas, watch “Hyperdrive” S02E04).

I don’t think this is a dumb question but have posted it here as there appears to be no Smart Question forum.
