When researching a property purchase on Arthurs Seat I was dismayed to note that the north face is a nasty landslip zone ( just look at the signs of a rubble field down the slope) then I speculated on the possibility of an earthquake* on the Selwyn fault, whereby all those very expensive houses in Mt Eliza crumble and fall into the sea. A bit too close to home tbh.
*Might occur sometime in the next 100,000 years
