I disagree with that. But Scott certainly seems to think it.
I am really excited for the Greshem, Guelfi and Perkins BREAKOUT game.
The club did. 10 years later. With a different team and coach. None of these players played in the premiership.
From the far side of the world, to those brave Bomber supporters and any Blitzers that do make the journey to Marvel later on .. I can only admire you all.
The VFL is the focus for mine today.
Good thing is that the players can play with no stress.
Even if you stink it up, constantly turn the ball over or not assist with the defensive pressure you won’t be dropped.
No stress /not pressure just enjoy your Easter Sunday.
Break out of the senior side??
Break out to the VFL….
This is the angle Brad should come from. AFL media has written you off. AFL fans have written you off. Even the Essendon fans have written you off. The doggies think it’s going to be over at quarter time. Go out there and play freely, play our game, and show the doubters what we are worth. Mistakes don’t matter, result doesn’t matter - playing for the jumper matters.
100pt loss.
it’s one of the two
altho looking up the definition of sadism
one could make the argument that sums up our coaches and players, and a few in the admin at the club ![]()
Didn’t realise this game was on FTA until last night. Wonder which ch7 callers drew the short straws.
Dogs by 82, because I’ve backed them to win b y 82.5+
Hopefully the last game for a few passengers.

In the reserves!!
We will win today. It will be the biggest ressurection since Jesus Christ. Happy Easter dreaming
Yes, it’s a bad thing.
Higighted by constant weak selection. No consequence, no one gets dropped.
It’s not just been a 2026 thing either.
-72.5 points good odds
I went the line -72.5, although previously in the 90’s we lost last couple, its more about the mindset of the dogs in this game.
Espcially after the eagles they might just think it will happen
second half will just be a podcast talking about their favourite pies or some sht
They have played without stress for years
I agree.
But we had a list manager who would lean towards the attributes of the day but downplay the negatives and assume if you put them all together they all cancel each other out.
Line breaking ability wasn’t king a decade ago and it wasn’t up until 2022/23. That time was heavy contest work was king. Get it forward in any form and put as much pressure the opposition to create a mistake.
The rule changes this year have meant that outside speed is more prevalent now than it was in 2023. But it usually is early in the season. Then winter comes, it becomes more contest based and then finals it’s a contested grind.
We’ve had ■■■■ draft results. For a good seven straight years (and that’s being kind). And those seven years are players that would be coming into their prime now. Not withstanding that the players we traded in during that period are well past their prime and we barely saw their prime. Not withstanding that the few picks that did hit decided to up and leave. And another that did hit doesn’t want to be there.
We have a lot wrong. And we’re a long way from even being average. We should have been here ten years ago and sucked up the results. But we remained average (at best). I hope now that we are this bad, that there’s no bounce mid season. We desperately need top end talent. And we’re only getting it through the draft.
Gladly, we have someone else making list decisions. It doesn’t mean he’ll get everything right, but let’s hope at the very least we don’t go through another seven drafts of poor results. Time will tell.
We aren’t the only ones with the wrong type of list.
Collingwood minus Daicos were no good and looked slow. And I mean that’s also relying on his elite disposal.
I like the Binnies style of play when they are up and going.
Chad Warner, Errol Gulden, Nick Blakey and of course Heeney are absolutely electric footballers.
