Thank-you, well said. If the club is to continue to run poker machines, I would like us to be an industry leader in responsible gambling. It may cost us a few dollars in revenue but at least the club could say it recognises its responsibilities past just doing the bare minimum.

Doubt it. Most in here tore up, cut up, burned and not renewed their memberships over the last few years and cannot vote anyway. Unless of course they all lied.

Ahh thanks! But at the end of the day, Iām just a blitz-er, so being on this forum was and is always (mostly) a joy.

Apropos to nothing, it can be super hard to come on a forum and just answer questions openly. Thereās a worry you will say something that lands you in MSM and then derails the club, you are only one voice on a board of 9/10, and sometimes decisions are made that absolutely cannot be discussed.
Itās an incredibly important part of fan engagement IMO, but it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there and take the hits. Trust me.
Anyway, #5 with the sleeves plays footy pretty well, eh?

reeks a bit when they say the board stands for governance, when its last 2 huge employment decisions were anything but. reeks of a sneaky vote grab with little sincerity.

Why has the club not announced the contested board election when nominations closed a week ago? Pretty poor.
Itās how they always do it.
First time we get notice of all candidates is when the email to vote comes out. Not sure how that process compares to other clubs.
