EFC AGM/Board election 2024

North 5 years in a row bottom four and still crap

Hawks no where near the ammount of top 5 picks that North have yet have gon past them at a rate of knots

We’ve been crap for 20 years. What’s your point??

They both did a rebuild.

I dont think Hawks done a full rebuild like North.

Hawthorn just did it perfectly.

Agree they did it correctly they wernt bottom four for very long

So there you go. Rebuilds work.

They do but you also need a good senior coach and development program which Hawks have.

“So what I say them [the fans] is [I] totally understand … I’ve felt that way myself. But you can’t hold the people that are in there now – Brad Scott, Craig Vozzo especially, responsible for what’s happened the last 20 years,” he said.

No, you can’t. And I don’t think anyone is holding Brad and Vozzo responsible for the past 20 years? I like Vozzo. I don’t like Brad but that’s because I think at a fundamental level he is just not a good coach, and I do not hold him responsible for the past 20 years.

However, we can blame you Barham, the current President and board member since 2016 for governance related decisions made over the nearly decade period you have been on the board.

He said Scott had taken a long-term approach with the Bombers’ list rather than protecting his position.

I just don’t see it in the actions that Brad has taken over the 2 years he has been here. Maybe I am just a dumb dumb who can’t see this brilliant long term approach, but to my dumb dumb brain its been a lot of short term try to win now but still fail approach.

“One of the most gratifying things for me was Mason Redman re-signing halfway through the next year … he said ‘had this been 12 months ago, I wouldn’t have re-signed’.”

He’s been pretty mediocre since he signed that dotted line though. How about improving the clubs culture and upholding player accountability despite whatever big dollars contract a player might have signed? Couple of nice things he does every now and then, get’s worshipped by a few on here, signs a long term extension, then does a whole lot of not really much. So gratifying Barham, I am so impressed.

I think Redman will bounce back

Maybe he provides some stability if he stays maybe he doesn’t. Depends on if the next person is going to back Vozzo and Scott. I think Barham has done an ok job. He tipped out the old regime that was taking the club nowhere. He may have been on the board but obviously didn’t have the influence to get rid of X and co until he made his move. Personally I think he has done his job and I couldn’t care if he stays or goes. I do want Vozzo, Rosa and Scott to have 2 more years. As I feel we are in rebuild mode and it will take a couple of years to see if we are moving in the right direction.

Yeah, I have no idea what happened there, so it’s hard to pass judgement. For all I know Dean might have just quit. I’m guessing someone on Blitz knows the story.

list management can do what they did, barham can say what he said, none of that matters if brad throws goldstein in for 15+ games.

The next president that comes in has to back in Brad and Vozzo and continue what Barham started it’s why i think Welsh will be the next president imo.

For how long??

At least the next 2-3 years

A lot of those green lights are yet to be proven so should be yellow going by your system of assessment.

We won’t be playing in 2-3 years.
