EFC Delistings 2025 [spec]

What point?

OK then, you delist half the list and see how many games you win next year?

I’m trading Parish before Ridley/Redman/Langford.

Keeping Tsatas (one of him or Parish have to go IMO) and I think Lual, Prior & Blakiston have shown enough to get another year.

  • Parish (contracted)
  • Gresham (contracted)
  • Draper
  • Shiel
  • Goldstein
  • Laverde
  • Hobbs
  • Setterfield
  • Menzie
  • Davey
  • Smartt
  • McMahon

Minimum 10 changes if we’re only talking uncontracted players.

Ideally 12 -14 changes overall depending on what happens with Cox and whether we can get trades done for Parish, Gresham & Guelfi. ADW is an interesting one who isn’t spoken about much but is suspect he’ll get another year anyway.

Already signed another deal.

Ah yep.

McMahon’s lack of strength in aerial contests is plain for all to see now surely. He’s basically a 198cm small forward.

The punchline in there somewhere is that our small forwards are that shĀ”thouse that he gets retained on that basis but nah, next thanks. He’s not someone we’re ever going to be able to build around so why bother prolonging the inevitable.

With all our key defenders made of tissue paper we should be keeping Lav on the list. He would be good for the younger players in the VFL and at least he plays like he gives a fark and can stick a tackle. I’d be trading out any of the soft senior players before Lav gets the chop.

For context, Most of Langford, McGrath and Shiels tackling efforts last night were abysmal and non competitive. They are not the players we want leading the younger brigade.

I reckon wait till after the draft to work out what to do with him.

Hopefully we take Schubert and then maybe delist McMahon sadly - with Langford asking to leave

Can get him for way less than that.

In fact, he can pay us. Just get his account details.

Jones 2.0

I have very little time for players that are in their 20’s and have put on very little size.

Wondering what sort of development he’s had. Playing VFL and probably not expecting a call up, was he working as well? Slight build but something he could work on, has talent. A pre season proper with the knowledge he’s got to compete at the highest level? Still pretty much a kid

One man’s pain is another’s pleasure…Dodoro’s wet dream is a skinny 20+ year old

That would keep him on the rookie list though yeah ?

It doesn’t have to, but I’d assume so.

everyone here advocating for a rebuild knows that, accepts it and welcomes it. they’re not being stupid.

because, as already acknowledged, the current list can’t win games. so we need to, over time, replace it with a list that can.

Short time !

It’s going to be fascinating. I still think they like big chunks of the list, think they’ve found quality via the MSD and the kids and will think they can win finals next year.

There are obvious outs, but the next group beyond the obvious will tell a story.

Isn’t that more of a coaching thing

remember this coach gave credit to his assistants when they decided to run and carry take the game on

Brad won’t

Do man to man and love the stop start chip backwards sideways style
