This morning’s training was held in generally cold and overcast conditions. The quality of training and skills was variable which is to be expected of a team that will not be playing finals. Having said that, the boys were vocal and the camaraderie was clearly evident.
The good news is that Fantasia trained and has a contract extension and Jobe was getting some kms back in his legs following his operation and break. Fletch continues to up his workload but it appears that both he and Hurls will remain unavailable this week.
I get a sense that our two compulsory changes may well see both Myers and Smack return to the team with Hooksy possibly returning to the back line to assist Carlisle. As you will see from the pics, the boys took time out to sign autographs and talk to supporters and at the end of training a group took part in a charity ice bucket challenge for MND.
…and now the pics
Jobe hit the track and was attempting to blow the cobwebs away from his R & R in the UK.
Fletch and Hurls undertook flexibility tests on Etihad but did not join the main training group.

Thanks KB for the report and photos…greatly appreciated as always. Sad to hear Hurls won’t be back but looking forward to seeing Myers, Smack, Giles, Edwards, Carlisle and JD in the same team.
Steiny looks pleased to have gathered possession ON THE FORWARD LINE!
Hirdy heads towards a group training drill to give feedback.
Hirdy praises the players for their intensity in one of the drills.
Now I think I’ve found one of the problems with our midfield group’s stoppages clearance strategy!
Skippy is quite clear which direction the players must focus but…
…on the other hand, Harvs is just as vocal that they focus on the other direction! (Please make up your mind boys!!!)
