Electric Motor Vehicles

EVs that are 2 tonnes, silent and generally go 0-100 in under 4 seconds. Its a bit of a heady mix which I think may leave more worse off than body shape!

No they don’t because there is a ****load of SUVs in front of them. SO then there will be a higher generation of SUVs sold so that little ladies can see over the top of all those other SUVs, and so on.

Okay, they don’t. I have one, but you know what I can see better than I do.

I’m sure that Michael Leunig did a cartoon about this years ago, but I can’t find it now.

It showed a vehicle that was a cross between a car and a double decker bus.

I joined the ranks of the SUV drivers a couple of years ago, partly out of frustration at having my vision blocked while driving a sedan. Driving is much more enjoyable and safer now.

For you maybe, but not for everyone else with a “normal height” car.

SUV is the new “normal”. They are the predominant model on the road.

I do get your point, however. It’s like when the front row at a concert stands up and the rows behind also have to stand up to see what’s going on.

Do you see any solution to the issue or will vehicles just gradually get taller?

Haha… of course not. Otherwise I would already be feted in Detroit or Munich or one of them other fun cities.

Well, if you can’t beat 'em, join 'em.

I love the clear view that the elevated position of my SUV gives me and I would never go back to owning a sedan.

Then everyone will upgrade to oversized dual-cab utes with lift kits.

Who knows if it will come to Aus and stay within the $25k-32 price range.
LFP battery with 440km range.

Did it have lane edge detection. I have a Ford Ranger with it and the first time I drove it, it felt like someone kept tugging on the steering wheel. You can turn it off or take you hands off the wheel and watch it steer itself. You get used to it pretty quickly, but definitely odd when it first happens.

I don’t think so.

ASIO will be on to them, they’ll get deported for spying.

I think if you were fighting the steering it probably did.

My car has all those things …adaptive high beams, lAne keeping

This looks interesting and like it would be a lot of fun.
