This is about the best review on the BYD shark I watched for honesty
Yes
Really depends on your driving habits. A full electric would be suiable for most drivers.
Did the same in QLD drove forever and only filled up once on a Kia hybrid, then in Melbourne over a weekend driving everywhere with a Corolla Hybrid and $10 of fuel on fill up. Quite amazing
The EV6 looks like a normal sedan. It was the reason i chose it over the IONIQ5
I think it became the standard about 5 years go.
Chademo is available on most chargers.
Anybody got any insights on the forthcoming MG S5 price?
Iâve been mulling over a few cars and have shortlisted the BYD Sealion 7 and the Geely EX5. Geely probably the front runner as appears better value for money.
Iâm contemplating holding off for a bit and seeing what the MG S5 is like.
I drove the MG4 and it was a nice drive but with kids I need something bigger and the MG S5 is supposedly based on the MG4.
I donât need the car urgently as itâs a 2nd car so wondering if I should hold off another 6 months or so in the hope competition pushes prices further down.
With Trumpâs tariffs EV companies may be looking at other markets to offload product. But still: they wonât give significant discounts for Treasure Island.
The lad purchased one last week but havenât gone around to see it yet.
His business was making too much so he went out and traded in the Hilux for a new Ranger for work and then got the Shark6 a week later as a âbusiness expenseâ to tow his JetSki up to the river.
Iâm keen to go see what itâs like
Iâd been thinking about that but figured the US is right hand drive so there wonât be dumping of vehicles in that supply chain making itâs way to out shores.
In my experience, when a company is losing money, in this case they may not be able to sell as much in the USâŚthen they absolutely do not look to discount in other markets.
Itâs possible prices rise here so they can maintain profits while decreasing global sales.
(Not a CFO)
So if your towing I take from that your still better off with a diesel?
Donât they just press the rhd button at the factory these days?
China makes both. Thailand does too.
And it is a Kawasaki.
Channel 7 spotlight tried to do a hatchet job on EVâs by highlighting âdirty nickelâ mining in Indonesia.
The only problem being that the Nickel mined in Indonesia isnât a high enough grade to be used in EV batteries.
Iâm sure there will be a full retraction of the claims that attempted to guilt EV owners and an apology for the misinformation coming soonâŚ
I met Sam Evanâs the Electric Viking once, and he is a nice friendly bloke, but I would hate to be facing him if he was angry.
Channel Seven tries hard to outdo Nine and the Age for these sensational stories, but they just got many of the facts on Nickel use in Australia very wrong.
Sadly though they didnât get the working conditions and employment practices wrong at those Indonesian mines.
Channel 7 the pits, as demonstrated by their footy commentators every week.
