“Liberals” vs absolutists. If it weren’t for impending domino climate collapse it’d be almost funny
Lol. Tump says the only global warming he is worried about is “nuclear global warming” . I think what he is referring to must be the horrific effects of nuclear war.
So, is he trying to conflate 2 absolutely, totally, unconnected issues?
I mean does anyone need to be a critical thinker to see what he is trying to do there? Even most of the deplorables in Trumps basket of fans could see through that one.
But he has contempt for international institutions providing the architecture and structure for its members to avoid nuclear Armageddon. Nationalism , America first.
Class warfare in the British Isles is not new.
And as ever the Monster Raving Loony Party keep chipping away. A Brit GE just wouldn’t be right without them.
Quite like the sound of that Baron Von Thunderclap bloke.
Sunak is going to do a big ANNOUNCE on Thursday, putting money into your pocket and what’s more, you can spend it on what you like …
Discretionary expenditure, imagine !
He does come from the East Asian diaspora kicked out by the likes of Kenya and Uganda, who were given refuge in England. Now he wants to send refugees to Rwanda.
He’s all heart.
Yes, I’m sure they were terribly poor.
Mr Sunak’s father was a GP, while his mother ran her own pharmacy.
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said he did not want to comment on Mr Sunak’s remarks but when pushed said he had previously spoken about his family having to cut off their phone when they could not pay the bills.
But he said he was not “pleading poverty” and that these were just normal things growing up in a working-class household.
The East Asian diaspora were an affluent class in East Africa, successful and well educated entrepreneurs, one of the reasons they got kicked out
He also said (at every opportunity) that his father was a toolmaker, to the extent it garnered a laugh in the second debate because of the (unintentionally comic) repetition.
Hmmm. Reminds me of Albo talking about his mum…
Well … he shouldn’t plead too much poverty, nor lacking in chances in life. He went to a rather nice Grammar school in deepest east Surrey … which went private whilst he was there. The ones he’s about to slap the 20% VAT surcharge on once he gets in. Mind you I suspect any fees his parents had to pay were borne from honest graft given their seemingly modest incomes.
Anyway, he’s a decent enough candidate for the top job. Its his ability to keep his fellow MPs onside once he takes over on July 4th in the HoC which will be the challenge.
Snap "exit"poll post yesterday’s leaders debate on Sky had 64% Starmer - 36% Rishi. Broader polls hae moved barely a jot. He’d have to perform here on end like the late Queen’s Devon Loch in the Grand National to lose this one.
I think the only thing that could save the Tories at this point is if a conventional war with Russia started.
Rishi seems incredibly gaff-prone and his own party are talking about labour super-majorities
Are they frightened of West Taiwan?
And now Holly Valance happily steps up to be a cheerleader for the Joker in the UK political pack, Nigel “milkshake” Farage and Reform UK. Ties in with her cosiness with the Donald I suppose.
Best of luck with all that Holly.
