EPL 2024/25

This sport is ■■■■■■■ rigged

Michael Oliver is a legit ■■■■■■■

Not rigged, just City continuously get their ■■■■■ sucked. Absolute joke of a decision by a Ref that is known for not penalising City.

Add in that a City player kicked the ball away earlier in the half and wasn’t carded just make’s it worse.

Seriously, this ref is on drugs. Carding players that aren’t even on the field. Next thing you know the ■■■■ will give the crowd a red, and maybe the weather.

This game is wild. Leveller in the 98th min.

Of course there is no card for Haaland, he plays for City. ■■■■ you City and your ■■■■ of a ref. Now listening to the crap from the commentator about how tough City are. Get ■■■■■■ ■■■■. They were carried against a 10 man Arsenal off the back of a cheap red given by a ref clearly in their pocket. Arsenal were in total control when the red was given. And note the equaliser was scored 40 seconds after added time expired.

Best result as a Liverpool fan but Arsenal can feel hard done by.

The reffing wasn’t much better at Brighton.

Jones signalled that Gibbs-white got the ball and called a throw-in. Then Anthony ■■■■■■■ Taylor - he who screwed us over at Everton last season -got involved for some reason from the sideline, Jones then changes his mind and gives MGW a second yellow instead. Nuno loses his ■■■■, gets evicted. So does Herzeler on the Brighton side. So Forest finish with 10, neither side has a coach , and we grab a point.

It wasn’t a red card, it was a second bookable offence. Of which, when you’ve already had a caution, committing a foul and then kicking the ball away to further delay the game, he knows what he’s doing. Similar to Rice against Brighton, you’re on a yellow and you look to delay the restart by kicking the ball away, you’re giving the ref an opportunity to send you off. This has now happened twice in the space of a month. If Arteta has any brains he will tell his players to wind it in.

I personally felt that the kick was one continuous piece of play and that he was trying to win the ball, not delay the game which was fairly evident with the way he chased after it. The whistle went almost concurrent with his kick of the ball. And saying it wasn’t a red is semantics. If you know a player is already on a yellow, then giving another yellow is the same as a red card in all but name, and arguably worse because you can’t appeal a suspension off two yellows.

He knows what he’s doing. Arteta has clearly told his players to delay the game as often as possible. Rice did it and now Trossard in the space of a month. It’s no coincidence IMO. But Rice and Trossard are dumb enough to do it after already being cautioned. If the PGMOL has mandated to clamp down time wasting, and you continue to roll the dice in that regard, then whose fault is it? If he doesn’t have a yellow against his name and he gets a booking, nobody has an issue with it.

Despite being a Gunner supporter and being absolutely ■■■■■■ off by the result, I have to agree with you. I guess it shows that even the best footballers are not necessarily geniuses, and in fact can be just plain dumb. But surely even the dumbest of the dumb should be able to understand that if he’s on a yellow, he’s got to stay squeaky clean.

In all, Arsenal were superb to withstand that incessant pressure after going a man down and were a tad unlucky to concede at the death. If they hang on, that is a massive 3 points and a big psychological boost for them. The draw probably still is, but to go in with a share of the spoils rather than a win away against the champions in such circumstances would leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

A rout in the Carabao Cup at Anfield. Liverpool, despite conceding the opening goal, have romped to a 5-1 win against West Ham. After falling behind, Jota levelled the score from close range after an acrobatic bicycle kick from Chiesa, who looked lively in his first start. In the 2nd half, Jota put the Reds in front after some scintillating play from Jones in the build-up.

Goals from Salah, who started on the subs bench, and a late double from Gakpo, added insult to injury for the struggling Hammers, who were reduced to 10 men with 15 mins to go.

City held again. Not a great start to the season for them. They are giving others a good luck at it

Nuno getting surprisingly adventurous with the line up in the absence of Gibbs-White , naming both Awoniyi and Wood in the starting 11. That suggests a 4-3-1-2 formation, presumably with Anderson slotting in as the 10 , and both CHO and Elanga coming off the bench.

Cole Palmer rips Brighton apart with 4 goals in the first half, first player to achieve that.

Brentford score in the first minute for the third game in a row, first team ever to do that.

Sounds like a very flat performance from Forest. What is this bizarre universe, where we have been good away and underperforming at home!?

Absolutely battered at home. Getting everything we deserve by being cowards. It really is time for violent protests
