No sympathy. We continue to put ourselves in these poor positions and you get what you deserve.
Should’ve led 3 or 4 nil at the break and duly punished for it
True, but I am still not sure how VAR gets involved there.
Now you’ve done it
Nacho and dalot missing open goals by blasting it into or above the cross bar.
We’re coming at this from different perspectives, but I do not at all like what Arsenal are doing this season. Too many players being sent off for stupid things, avoidable things; playing to waste time when they get ahead, generally just not getting on with playing the best football they can. Yes, we’ve had a lot of injuries, but that doesn’t excuse the style of play.
The timewasting is particularly annoying. It’s counterproductive. Players are getting yellow cards, the refs know exactly what’s going on and it ■■■■■■ them off so they add extra time. We should have beaten City, we should have beaten Liverpool, and we should have beaten Bournemouth. Instead we got two draws and a loss. It’s our own fault.
That was an atrocious decision. I can’t actually understand why you could even consider giving it. Often you look at these things and you’re like “yeah it’s maybe 20% there”. This one is close to 0.
Fark United though. Seriously
It’s all down to Arteta. He won’t admit it, but he’s been scarred by last season and the season before. 2022/23 they bottled it late, last year they got closer but couldn’t pip City to the title. Now he’s decided he needs to get his players to waste time. His players go down and pretend to have a head injury so the ref stops the game, as instructed whenever a player has a suspected head injury. They kick the ball away to delay the restart all the time. David Raya takes the longest to play the ball at a goal kick. It’s no coincidence. Arteta is trying to become this Jose Mourinho wannabe and think this is the way to win. Every press conference he’s moaning about something when it his own fault.
Yesterday, from the start of the 2nd half up until Salah scored the equaliser, Arsenal’s xG (expected goals) in that 35 mins or so was 0.05. That shows you what their mentality was. No attempt to go for a goal, make it 3-1 and then look to manage the game out.
Ten Hag gone per Fabrizio.
Ruud gets the gig.
….aaaand, he’s gone
Goneski
you knew itd happen the moment ruud was hired
Did I want him to get sacked? No. Did it have to happen? yes.
The ■■■■ part is now is that these same players will probably pick up their game now in the next few weeks and it’s gonna ■■■■ me right off. For some of these ■■■■■■ it’s their 4th manager that they have had sacked. Won’t surprise me in the slightest that in 2-3 years time, we will be letting another manager go. Over it.
It’s frustrating, but ETH has been asking to be sacked with some of what he’s been saying in his press work lately. He constantly avoided responsibility and revealed the embarrassingly low standards he has for himself and the team with his reference to last season’s “turnaround”. We finished 8th. We were half a foot away from going out of the FA Cup to a Championship side after going 3-0 up. The FA Cup final itself was fantastic but it was an admission of being satisfied with a flukey cup run despite abysmal league and European form. Unlike Ole, I don’t feel a hint of sadness with this one.
Just like another football club I know.
The players couldn’t give a f*ck.
another manager/coach comes in, and they are playing for their careers……. After 12 months They get comfortable, slack off, get another coach sacked, rinse repeat.
Yep was always only a matter of time.
My Uncle reckons that after the West Ham game a heap of fans went down to OT to start trouble and spoiling for a fight. Some very angry members amongst the group apparently
Any good?
I’m haven’t been watching Utd this season just checking results, wouldn’t have a clue about this bloke.
Sporting CP are 9 wins from 9 starts in Portugal (I know it’s Portugal) so that’s about all I know as well.
Apparently one of his main criticisms is stubborness regarding a back 3
