EPL 2024/25

If VAR was in use this round Slabheads goal would have been scrubbed in about 0.0001 seconds

Yeah, I’m gonna watch the Orient game

Surely City come back.

This is not a normal City season.
Longer it goes on I could see Orient nicking another … lol.

Yeah, top half all the same.

Tottenham lose another Carabao semi final.
Arsenal lose to Man United in FAC R3
And now Chelsea lose to Brighton in R4

It seems remarkable that the 3 big London sides Arsenal, Chelsea & Tottenham seem to spend lots of money and unleash a lot of potential but all somehow fall apart and capitulate

despite all the bottlejob banter between the fans of these clubs they all seem to be as bad as each other.

The only honour between these clubs in the last 5 years is Chelseaā€˜s champions league win in 2021.

Even if it was allowed, var shouldn’t have even been mentioned. Linesman either crooked or blind.
Same with cricket now, too much relying on technology and officials are scared to do their job. Standard of officiating in the premiere has gone down the gurglar along with English goalkeepers. Both used to be the best in the world but not anymore.

Go the O’s!! They always played at home when the Hammers played away. A lot of non travelling West Ham fans would go to watch the Orient instead.

If you haven’t seen it, check out Iwata’s banger for Birmingham overnight. Ball was rising as it hit the back of the net and could’ve gone 80 metres on.

A FA Cup upset for the ages.
Plymouth 1 Liverpool 0

Hard to believe that one.

Yes what a ride this season for Plymouth Argyle. After seeing off Wayne Rooney as manager they’ll probably still get relegated to League One, but they looked a class above Liverpool’s B side today.

Only just saw the result. From the team selection (starting XI plus bench), Slot took a risk and it backfired. 10 changes from the Carabao Cup SF clearly with an eye on the derby mid-week, which is fine. But very little to call on to change the game if things didn’t go to plan. Disappointing because it’s another competition you can use to give games to the squad players and youngsters in these rounds so they don’t lose match sharpness. A Cup Final and the knockout rounds of the CL aren’t opportunities to give your guys on the periphery games. It is what it is, all focus on the 3 comps we are still in.

FA Cup Villa beat Spurs 2 - 1, the calls for Ange’s head get louder.

No surprise with the result. Pleased to see Tel score in his second game.

Plymouth keeper with a couple of great saves near the end.

Spurs with another flat first half. That first goal should never have gone in, but Villa had a host of chances.

5th Round Draw

Preston North End v Burnley
Aston Villa v Cardiff
Doncaster or Palace v Millwall
Manchester United v Fulham
Newcastle v Brighton
Bournemouth v Wolves
Manchester City v Plymouth Argyle
Exeter or Forest v Ipswich Town.

Very open Cup this year and some tasty matchups there. With both Manchester sides playing like busted pasties I think we might see a couple of roughies go deep

London old Bill will be dreading a Palace v Millwall meeting. All leave cancelled that week.
