Forest , probably not expecting to be playing Euro football three seasons after being bottom of the Championship, have seemingly adopted a recruiting strategy that is essentially “just sign the England Under-21 squad and we’ll make it work” . Hutchinson and McAtee have arrived. Too late to do anything on opening round but it gives Nuno a bit of quality depth moving forward.
I’m slightly surprised at McAtee . After the MGW fiasco ended with him staying, and with Anderson already a possible replacement, I thought we might cool a little on McAtee. But maybe we think Morgan will depart next window ( on better financial terms) and this is an eye on the next stage.

Could be that Sunderland was up and about playing at home, first game back in the big time. But dire is probably an understatement for how the Hammers looked.
To add insult to injury Kudas looked great for Spurs.

Absolutely awful last season, no signings of note and we’ve shipped one of our few assets (Kudus). I’ve been saying it for a while, and the first day obviously hasn’t changed my thinking. It will be some kind of miracle if we don’t get relegated this season.

The one thing that annoys me is that I can’t see a league table in the app. I mean it’s not the end of the world but Optus Sport had the table to look at so you don’t have to get out of the app to see it. Surely can’t be too difficult a task to add…
