Looking forward to see Goaner Tutlan, Michael Quinn & Dwayne Armstrong again.

Will there be cake?

Yeah nah.

You beauty - I’m in Melbourne that weekend! Count me in.

really?

the sorts of things supporters who’ve endured 4 years of scapegoating, corruption, lying, fraud and bullying by virtually everyone involved particularly by the ASADA, AFL and the other clubs, coupled with the rubbish served up by the communication specialists etc etc would be statements that went to the heart of whats been done to the club, the players, Hirdy and the supporters ie statements that the AFL and the host broadcaster would never allow to go ahead/to air anyway even if the club belatedly grew the balls to make them

If all this amounts to is “we’re not dead yet” then imo all it will achieve is to show how long its going to take for Essendon to be taken seriously again let alone be feared.

Case in point Eddie on the front foot over the photo’s … won’t see Collingwood take any water over its misdemeanors will we? No belated, 3 years too late crowd surfing “statements” for the Pies.

The time to make a “statement” was anytime in the last 3-4 years not after we’ve meekly accepted the will of the AFL and their mates while standing idly by watching virtually everyone involved get wiped out.

When the AFL talks about a strong EFC their ONLY interest is $ and broadcast rights: they’re not talking about the club or the players let alone the members/supporters. They couldn’t give a flying **** about any of those things let alone the history or reputation of the club. If they could keep the gate receipts they’d happily lock EFC members out rather than see any real matchday statement about whats happened.

This is the sort of stunt Lukin would be proposing to rake in the $ while appearing to “appease” the members and supporters… without actually having to reverse a single thing done to the club, players or supporters. A bit like offering to quietly pay - sorry compensate - the suspended players for wearing the flak caused by decisions made by the board and the AFL, decisions they made but have no intention of admitting or remedying - let alone being held accountable for.

As harsh as it sounds I’d personally prefer to see us not win a game and have no-one turn up rather than have the supporters/members have to yet again stick their hands in their pockets to bail out the **** that have driven this. Let the greedy basta*rds at the AFL bail the club out of this mess financially.

And while they’re at it once they’ve ensured as few of the suspended players actaully come back to EFC as possible they can kill off all the talk of stopping us from getting the first pick in the draft for however long it takes us to become REALLY competitive again.

Really…

Here’s the thing BobShaz

This isn’t about the AFL…this isn’t about 17 other clubs.

If OUR club and OUR fans want to make a statement then they damn well should.

Those who want to join in should be encouraged.

Do you have to be a part of it? Nope

Will it cost you anything? Nope

Can you just ignore it if it isn’t your thing? Yep

Personally I like it…lots.

Anything that helps us get through this year TOGETHER is to be applauded.

Well done CJ

Whatever it is, I’m in. We desperately need this sort of initiative for the fans to get out and show support. We have an opportunity this year to show everyone that we’re unbreakable, the greatest sporting institution in the greatest sporting nation in the world. Events like this are a massive FCK YOU to our many haters. We can allow ourselves to be defined forever by these awful endless rolling sanctions or we can allow ourselves to be defined by how our supporters respond. It’s our choice so let’s get on board.

Really...

“Together” … that is of course MINUS the 34 suspended players, their families and friends, virtually everyone who worked at the club, Hirdy, the disenfranchised members and supporters, the kids who now wouldn’t dare to support a pack of drug cheats …

It’s just my opinion…but I think the best way we can support our suspended players now is giving them a strong United club to return to…Hirdy asked us to support the club…that’s what I’m doing…

You can do what you want

I’m going to wear a g-string with my left butt cheek painted red, and right one red.
My sign will say “Not gay, but damn proud!”

^^ Do you have a nice butt?

Asking for a friend…

No, the 34 can go to the football and watch if that’s their wish

Two red cheeks eh?
So it’s not just the club, and the players. You want to claim a spanking too.

A statement that no one outside of us cares about?

A statement that no one outside of us cares about?

That’s ok.
Something to feel good about is a great idea.
I just hope it’s a bit more than 50 people from the internet waving banners and shouting a bit.
If the numbers are small it makes us look rather silly.
But I wish them all the best and hope they can pull it off.

I’d rather more fan events at Tulla to be honest, watch the boys train, sausage sizzle, fan interactions that sort of stuff, who cares about the afl and the media and other fans, make messages insular.

So would I, but it’s still good to see people trying to do something positive.
