That Carlton 1993 GF team had some seriously average footballers in it.

Athorn, Welsh, Powell, Scholl, Heaver.
Even Spalding was a gangly clumsy f*ck.

Certainty had to watch your back everytime you went for the ball in those 80’s GFs
I was surprised to see the footy played in the 93 GF by the baby bombers would stand up in today’s game, it was modern day Richmond like in skill and intensity.
