Essendon vs Orange Pus review thread - 2023 round 4

I will help you find it, in you want. Sooner the better for all.

Would be a 10 goal win any other day. We beat them up around the ball. We tackled harder and ran harder. We forced them to kick long and intercepted their kicks. They aren’t in our league

I will say this. I have never verbally assaulted one of our players, who was known to have mental health issues. I am still not that much of a POS.

seems to have resonated with others on here… maybe someone else is spouting garbage

Actual preseasons make a huge difference in the way a team runs out a game. Who’d have thought?

Who cares what you think??

Easy tiger - let’s just enjoy the win shall we

The purple :purple_circle: Haze!

I think we must have just had the not very good umps today. Foxtel game during Easter Sunday, bury the developing and the duds in that match.

A lot of decisions were not what we have come to expect.

Maybe don’t start throwing shots at other posters if you just want to enjoy the win

I don’t care what you do.

Exactly, don’t always agree with his thoughts but he’s passion for the club cannot be questioned. It’s been a tough road supporting this club for the last 20 years so I completely understand anyone who isn’t optimistic that we will finally turn it around.

I didn’t throw anything at you or your best mate - simply pointing out the OP was at 20 likes and yours was at 2… strange that

Neither did I. Snotbag.

If you counted 30 possessions as the mark of a good game, you’d be right. It takes immense talent, certainly, to regularly amass such figures - but the more important measure is his efficiency or lack of it in his disposal. Over half of those possessions were wasted through poor disposal, often as not resulting in turnovers. As for his field kicking - hell, any footballer can bomb it long and high to no one in particular, the way Parish does.

Hell’s bells, this is his 8th season with us - and that is more than enough time to practise kicking the ball accurately ! Darcy has a wonderful natural talent - he could be one of the all-time great players in the game, but whether through laziness or lack of firm coaching direction he’s just pishing it all up against a wall. I’m fed up with him.

Zerk is fast becoming one of our most important players

Was fantastic again today. Seems to have a lot more confidence, going for his marks a lot more this season- and taking them

Sorry to single out saucy. True, I don’t post much. I regularly read the football discussion pages and obviously enjoy it here. Unfortunately saucy’s comments today are emblematic of a number of posters who almost seem to relish imminent failure and proclaim it… and then reiterate that negativity again and again.
