Have the press conferences happened yet?

I thought he was good - i don’t understand the knocks on him for this game.

Well another year of nothing. Need to make some serious changes to our list and whoever thinks otherwise is deluded. Just don’t have the cattle to play finals footy. How much longer do we keep putting up this c rap in finals and thinking the same blokes will do the job. Trade out players that have currency and start again. And get rid of Dodoro. Keeps getting players into the club that just don’t get the job done when it matters.

Why do we kick it forward, take a mark and wait for their defence to catch up and reset.

We miss our outside guys.

No one mentioned Zaharakis.

When he is on, he is our i50 man.

How about stalling or falling?

I’m 34. And really kicking myself for taking the 2000 premiership for granted.

Even making it to the 2001 GF appearance as well.

Honestly at that point, I thought going deep into finals was the norm.

McGrath, Saad, Francis, Snelling kept it from a 100 point loss. Not that it really matters, but at least we know they can stand the heat of a finals game.

We are ■■■■■■ if we are relying on Zaharakis.

This is why my daughter became a treacherous Cats supporter. FML

Hes the type, when playing at his best is what we missed.

Run and gun game plans, where you move the ball from one end of the ground to the other, works against 1 side during finals. Essendon football Club.

That game plan, where we expect the corridor to open up, and we can kick winning margins off defensive 50 rebounds will never be a game plan that wins a final. Unless it’s against us.

We need an up to date offensive game style, that wins finals.

Incredibly disappointing but not unexpected. Half fit players playing against the current premiers on their home deck with a full team chock full of players with finals experience and a very healthy list. We looked seriously outclassed all night. Important decisions re personnel for 2020 required now for the club. Obviously many playing tonight would not be there if we had a healthy list, so better times ahead for next year. Our time must come soon.

Woosha is gone. Nothing more certain.

(Not that I actually want him out)

The issues within Essendon have extended far beyond Woosha’s time as coach.

FAAAARRRRKKKK… this club really really gives me the s h i t s. Another ■■■■■■ year ending in a whimper. Limping into 8th place yet again.

We’re only going to win a final when we can finally muster up more than 13 wins to finish higher than 6th. That would actually mean we’ve found form in the season.

Urgently need to review the fitness and tackling. Get that right and I reckon more than half the job is done.

Zaha is the Captain of Essington

I agree, David Zaharakis would definitely have been the difference tonight.

I’ve been on the Blitz for 3 years. The whole time I’ve banged on like a looney about the same thing. Our list build strategy is absolute sh!te.

Dodoro used to put up the nets behind the goals at Windy Hill… that’s the sum total of his experience prior to being Sheedy’s assistant. Sheedy kept him around because he wasn’t a threat. Dodoro has no footy experience beyond the 16 years of mediocrity he’s presided over at Essendon. No coaches have been around long enough to properly guide the build, only Dodoro… the list is on him and likely some external influences.

We now have a list of KPPs who will mostly be over 30 next year… and are playing like it. We have a midfield of lightweight sub 185cm players. We have guys with known genetic issues Hepp, Daniher, Smith and inadequate cover for them We have lightweight players whose bodies saw them drop to the 50s in their respective drafts, Raz, Gleeson… because everyone else but Dods could see the inherent risk. Dodoro has presided over all of this… a guy with no football experience beyond his time at this one club, a guy who is not well-regarded in the industry… yet we keep him on the books longer than almost any other list manager in the comp.

Forget getting Shiel, Smith and co. as proof of what Dodoro brings…that’s not Dods - that’s coterie influence and the lure of opportunities post footy that a Mark Casey can put on the table.

The list strategy is farking warped… midgets everywhere and succession for Belly, Hook, Smack, Hurl etc that consists of a ruck who has barely learnt the game, a ruck/fwd with a family history of OP issues and a GWS discard.

Farketty fark, fark… what will it take for the club to see the bleeding obvious? This list will not win a flag. Woosh’s gotta go but so too does Dodoro because Norm Smith couldn’t coach this list to a finals win
