Raz is one that I think can get himself right and see his best again. I’d hate to see it as a bomber fan for another club but I hope he can get himself right and play some good footy. Players always want to play, he must be frustrated by it all too. He’s one that I think we could take a risk on keeping without diminishing his trade value. Would he cost less in trade next year? I don’t think so.
If we are changing the culture at the club then send him off now for whatever we can get. Need everyone on board, and he is seeking to leave for the second time. Pack his bags for him.
If hes going to come good I hope it’s at Adelaide and not the other mob.
I have no problem with Raz leaving if he is genuinely homesick and has been genuinely injured. I just hope therumours that he faked being injured so he didn’t have to play are not true.
He isn’t going to suddenly come good and get through a whole season without injury. He is as injury prone as they get.he might play the odd great game here and there, but he isn’t going back to 2017 form. Not a chance
He will play some good footy in Adelaide because he is at home with his partner.
Has there ever been a better day on Blitz than No32 being told that?
That was indeed a funny day, he took it pretty well considering.
I thought Number32’s “From the Armchair” posts/threads were great. Didn’t agree a lot of the time but wish there were more like that.
Calling his family ■■■■■ for misleading him was a fine moment.
I always thought the bloke was a bee’s ■■■■ from a psychotic episode.
So spoke to someone at the GF today and Raz has met the Crows and had a chat, talks went reasonably well but no concrete offer. His manager Doughty was meeting Port today and will open conversations as a precursor to Raz chatting them during the week. He still is undecided where he goes but if no decent offer comes there is a small chance he returns to Tulla with his tail between his legs. I think it’s a very small chance though
Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.
When can clubs actually start making offers to players? Is it when the season is over, or when the club’s involved’s season is over?
Has Carlton made a concrete offer to Saad, or just an indicative offer over coffee?
Watch the AFLPA Step in and complain that we are holding him against his wishes.
Clubs can and do make offers to players at any time during the year but no contracts are signed until a trade is done.
They have made their offer, now it’s about how they get him there.
I don’t mind too much if that happens, because if he doesn’t then pull his finger out and have a good year his career is basically over. And we’re much improved if he has a good year.
I hope he can get the better of his injury issues because there are few better when fully fit.
If his heart isn’t in it, we pay the difference surely?
No, if his heart isn’t in it he can languish in the twos.
I agree @Duplicity - it just doesn’t feel right having someone that doesn’t want to be there playing at all
But yeah, it doesn’t feel right paying the difference - you win
