Family Day 2026 - 7/02/2026

Wondering if any of my fellow Blitzers were going to brave the Tullamarine traffic madness tomorrow and head to the Family Day?

For those interested, no parking onsite at the Club and they’ll have buses running from Windy Hill between 9.30 and 11.30 - the actual day runs from 10-1.30.

Weather looks good and an opportunity for the kids to see me be anything other than apathetic towards the football over the last few years.

Given I’m injured and not able to play cricket tomorrow, I’ll be there. Not sure whether to get the bus from Windy Hill or park the car at one of the airport parking places nearby.

I’ll be there with the kids. Heading there after footy training at Yarrambat. Kids excited to get their jumpers signed and say hi to some players. Not sure where we will park

On behalf of your cricket teammates you could do the scoring or square leg umpiring. And also you could play despite injury like the rest of us. Bloody @smooth

Overall was a good day. Got the bus from Windy Hill to the hangar, good service. Plenty of activities on. The lines for player autographs were long, which was to be expected. Went to the line with Parish/Vigo/Sharp. They were good lads. Spent some time speaking with the guys at the EFC Past Players Association. Got a photo with Simon Madden, he’s a super nice guy!

Yeah I thought it was great. We parked at the maccas/bp on airport drive (risked the tow away zone).

weather turned it on which was great, we had a mishap with one of my kids guersneys getting a number printed but they were quick to give my daughter a new one to make up for it.

if the club really want to make some money, they need to invest in a dunk tank with some club folk or even an ump or two. Would make squillions!

Awesome to hear the news of Kako re-signing and Huss will be an extremely popular player!
