What authority over Sayers does the AFL now have? They got it wrong at the time, but now he’s no longer President or affiliated with the club there’s nothing the AFL can do.
They could uninvite him the Brownlow and the Grand Final
What authority did they have even when he was President?
He’s not a player, he has no contract with the AFL. They never should have got involved. They should have put out a statement saying it’s a private matter for Luke and Carlton to deal with.
