I don't care if this gets me banned, but I want Carlton to win.
1) It will give them unprecendented dilusion, thinking they have the core team to go deep into September
2) Malthouse will probably be loathe to cut some players that should be
but also, it will ■■■■ Richmond off massively. If we had have stayed in the finals then they would be playing Port who they would have beaten, instead they come up against a team who has beat them 11 of the last 12 times.
There are a few things that need to happen between now and next Saturday week…but it is actually conceivable that Carlton may, purely by the grace of Vlad, beat us to #17.
Not a very nice thought I know, but this just dawned on me this evening…

LOL... if it's by the grace of Vlad, then Gold Coast will beat us to #17.

LOL. This happens every year. Top 4 team looks mediocre in week 1 of the Finals (against a great team), 5-8 placed team looks good (against a mediocre team). People say "gee, Team B looked better than Team A last week (opposition had nothing to do with it of course), Team B might have a chance."
Then the game starts and everyone says "oh yeah, that's right, Team A was much better than Team B all year". God forbid anyone ever learn from the past or anything.
Think of how much Carlton will rate themselves due to one win against Richmond, who they always beat anyway. This could be good. They will not make finals next year either.
Anything else you would like to add Greg Swann, you wanker!! Justice has been served tonight, blues are soft as ■■■■■…Now their unwashed fans can trudge off back to their caves with their over-inflated egos…
A fantastic effort by Carlton . Against an injury riddled Swans, no Goodes and a plethora of others injured during the game, and still held to a scoreless third quarter! Perhaps Carlton supporters will comfort themselves with their "comeback" in the last quarter, but it came to no end as the Swans rested themselves for the next week. They made the eight after all (only by default) - but who did they beat? A fellow perennial mediocre team in Richmond.
And so another year goes by - Judd will be another year older and it becomes clearer and clearer that those number one draft picks that Carlton cheated - yes, cheated - to get via their tanking (and not to mention Judd's "employment" with Visy) - have all come to naught. Their strategy has been a miserable failure.
Might I suggest, Mr Swann, that you worry about your own team's constant mediocrity before casting judgement on others.
