Bugger… thought we were on another possible F/S ripper

We should demand a DNA test to confirm or deny.

It’s not like the AFL perform DNA tests or anything. Just lie about it Essendon!

They should in this case IMHO.

THE ONES TO WATCH: FUTURE BRIGHT FOR MULTICULTURAL STARS

02 DEC 2021 BY: AFL VICTORIA

All Nations coach, Harmit Singh poses with Essendon NGA players (L-R) Jayden Nguyen, Ryan Eyre, Isaac Kako & Shane Clough

Some of the state’s most promising young talent was on display on Saturday 27 November as around 45 multicultural and Indigenous footballers duked it out at AFL Victoria’s ‘All Nations and Kickstart Development Day’ at LaTrobe University in Bundoora.

The All Nations (multicultural) vs Kickstart (Indigenous) match featured some of the best 15-16 year-old footballers in Victoria who represent a wide variety of community clubs and are also part of the AFL’s Next Generation Academy system.

The All Nations side won the game convincingly, with standout performances from Isaac Kako (Pascoe Vale Panthers/Essendon NGA), Shane Clough (Gisborne Rookies / Essendon NGA), Tarkan Yaman (Ashburton JFC / Collingwood NGA) , Jayden Nguyen (Aberfeldie / Essendon NGA), Iliro Smit (Mount Evelyn JFC / Hawthorn NGA), Immanuel Laulu (Shepparton Swans / Richmond NGA).

The All Nations and Kickstart talent program for boys has been running for eight years and has produced AFL players such as Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (Western Bulldogs), Buku Khamis (Western Bulldogs) and Changkuoth Jiath (Hawthorn).

All Nations and Essendon academy coach, Harmit Singh spoke about the significance of the return to football and the program.

“The ability to attend the Development Day and opportunity to play a match was incredibly important not just physically, but mentally for our players. The feedback has been really positive from families in regard to the program and how it positively influences those it reaches. From my perspective, I have walked in the shoes of these players having had both my parents born overseas, and the opportunity to educate and develop these boys as a coaching group was something we really enjoyed.”

The All Nations and Kickstart program for girls will recommence at the start of 2022 .

Many people on this forum said ‘we shouldn’t be gifting him games’.

Meanwhile you, I, and anyone that had watched Alwyn’s toddler kids kicking banana’s from the boundary line before the VFL, kept saying that we must get him to 100 games.

Eventually Hird got him there, in the final round…… I didn’t think it would happen at the time.

Ryan Eyre looks indexical to his brother.

Is he rated higher than Josh was @THE_DON1 ??

Needs to learn how to tie his shoe laces.

Key skill.

Riak Andrew is in our academy? Not Melbournes?

Their drugs tests don’t matter so why should a DNA test?

Really hard to get too excited about kids in our NGA given the new rules, bit of a shame. Completely understand why they did it, but feel like first round was enough

How does Riak Andrew get in our academy yet his brother was at Melbournes?
did they move?

Must have

Part of learning the subtleties of a new culture and a new city is finding out when you have to move house to avoid your kids ending up in the wrong NGA.
Good to see the penny dropped about Melbourne zones.

If he’s any good, we wouldn’t be able to get him anyway.

Honestly I don’t think it’s much of an issue.

Im pretty cynical. I think a lot of the kids coming from our Tiwi academy, will be overlooked by most clubs… as they will be placed in the ‘too hard’ basket.

Our Calder academy is a different story tho.

The point is this latest one is Russell’s kid. Russell is Alwyn Sr’s identical twin, and hence all his paternal DNA would be the same.

DNA test him, I dare ya!!

Whilst at a pub down the Gold Coast a while back, myself and a mate bumped into Nicky Winmar, good bloke, he told us that “Sheeds was suppose to take me, instead took Tony Antrobus”.
