He doesnt fill a need whatsoever, we bat very deep at midfield now.
I like Clarke too but it makes so much more sense picking up the two young guys imo.

Now that it’s not a draft situation, I assume players have to agree to being picked up yeah? As in, GC for example, can’t just select and sign Fejo jr while he trained with us?

I was in favour of giving him a year but now that we have Hobbs it’s clearly time to move on. Would be great if we could offer him a vfl contract though. Hell, we could even make him Captain. He’s well liked, tough, professional and a proven ball winner at that level.

Hobbs acquisition spelled the end of him. I think they just wanting to do the right thing by him with the train on since was obviously already agreed upon as part of delisting on chance we may re-select him

Would be rare for players delisted to accept a VFL contract at the same club. Especially now with low salary cap for AFL-aligned clubs. I doubt he’d stay unless he got an AFL contract.

Yep. It’s the same as a DFA - there has to be an agreement between player and club.

Went to an RMIT info day yesterday at the Hangar. Afterwards I saw a bit of training and watched Wanganeen dance around Ham and a couple of others. Very evasive and exciting. I’d like to see him given a go. Also Baldwin is ■■■■■■■ huge!

Perkins looks very fit. Hoping he becomes a 1/2 forward terror. To those watching training, does Baldwin move well? Or a big man plodder? Agility so to speak.
