FEJO Friday 10th Dec

I think one of the previous reports indicated surprise at well he was moving considering the injuries he’s had. Like he has confidence in the rehab he’s done. Given the amount of footy that draftees have missed over the last couple, if his body holds up and he lives up to his talent I think we’ve nabbed a first round talent for half a packet of chips.

If you look through previous years, they always look fit and strong in the pre-season. We always had optimism, specially after making a final.

We are at this point again. Can we take the next step? Can we break into top 4 or at least win a final?

Key position stock up forward is too young and we lack small forwards. It is a harder draw as well. Going to be a very tough ask.

But I feel like there is something different about the team and its player culture and the blue collar mentality that truck is preaching. My hopes are back again to a small degree.

Don’t let L2L see such excitement all based on 30 seconds of footage.

One year we had a stack of players in the modified group - was that last year? Can’t remember…

Worsfold’s final season.

Remember how we played a whole bunch of players through injury in the second half of the year, so Worsfold could save his job?

Which meant we waited until the end of the season to send players into surgery.

There is a difference this year. It is all about mind set.

There has been many times when we have made the finals, in previous years, and the feeling I’ve usually got from the players & coaches has been; satisfaction that they made the finals.

This is the first time since the 2000 premiership, where the players have a fire in the belly from being beaten up in an elimination final. It’s looks like they’re using the pent up anger to get better.

I have often questioned the commitment of the playing group. Yeah, they do what they need to do to be competitive. But They don’t do much more than that.

Everyone wants to win the premiership, but not many are willing to do the extra work to get there.

Do you think he is nearly as tall as Hooker? He may have grown?

You should have led with this.

I’m not a key forward I don’t lead.

Yeah, but you can’t tell because the grass hasn’t been cut evenly.

They probably also do training with their other clubs. But they also get professional diet and work out plans. But what you’d learn in that 10-15% of training with afl players would be massive.

Baldwin moves very well. Will be one of his clear strengths

Ham looks to have put on some size but I think the video kinda indicates why he struggles to make it, only bench pressing what looked like 40kg and beaten in wrestling by younger players. I actually wanna see him tried as a permanent small forward, there is no place for him in the midfield anymore.

Pretty sure he was bench pressing 100kg.

Small forward could be his calling

I’d be surprised if a footballer is bench pressing 40kg unless they are doing 30 reps.
