excellent report, excellent news. many thanks.
when i first had a look at his tape and saw a few picks post draft my immediate thought was we’re looking for patrick cripps. will watch with interest.
Was hoping he was a little more advanced but to the eye seems to be at the same level. Hard being a ruck… as they develop more in early 20’s
Lid has left the hemisphere.

Worth noting that there’s been little (none?) actual ruckwork to view at the sessions i’ve seen, and that’s where Bryan will probably be at his best. I did see him take a couple of strong grabs at one session though. The actual full practice matches will be more revealing.
Everyone on the Fejo train…. Meanwhile Laverde2Langford jealously watches on.

Super report @CJohns
Happy to finish my week’s work up now given the positive vibe!
Fair call
If we haven’t entered into a binding agreement with the AFL for FEJO to win the next 5 norm smith medals and for Truck to achieve Hall of Fame Status, and Baldwin to be elevated to supreme overlord of the Milky Way by CoB today, then sack the whole fkg club.
Delicious…thank you for this report.
I wish it was pre-season all year
LID FARKEN OFF
L2L is to Langford as cjohns is to perko
Nino has moved on to small forwards now.
Tex + Fejo, the dotted line is here
…

@CJohns was Voss training as a mid today??
It’s way too early to be drawing conclusions, so I won’t…just listing outcomes that we might realistically hope for.
I think it’s a given that we can hope for, or even expect, improvement in the team to come from a young developing group of 5 - Cox, Perkins, Draper, Caldwell, Jones.
Less definite, but certainly promising, you could add Durham.
I’m leaving out all the maybes who still have a long way to go like Reid, Bryan, McBride, Eyre, Brand etc.
But if we can also hope, with some degree of optimism, that we might also get something out of Hobbs, Baldwin, Fejo and maybe even Voss and McDonagh, that would be a serious depth of young talent to hang your hat on (ok McDonagh not so young).
I am starting to see some grounds for optimisim (and I’m no optimist generally).
At the very least, it says something about drafting and not relying solely on early picks to develop a team.
Of the “promising” group of 11 named above, only Cox, Perkins, Caldwell and Hobbs were first round picks, and all of Durham, Draper, Baldwin, Fejo, Voss and McDonagh were late “scrounges” (Jones the only in betweener).
Bit of everything to be honest. Sense they are trying to look at him further to see what they fully have
Just on Durham he is very highly rated internally. Could be a really emerging player.
