Fantastic indications from Fejo and Tex. With some salivating over Baldwin. But a word of caution for those already on a train. Remember how many have been on trains before. Think Kav, Stein Edwards I don’t need to list them all.
Getting on trains is all part of the fun, I guess.
The ones with Hercule Poirot not so much.
Voss and Crippa in the same sentence. Its a bit like Marty Party and Corey Enright. . Its not a fair expectation so early but in the latter case injury was a factor.
I think the kav train was huge right up until he got selected tbh. Very quickly found out as being the equivalent of Coles brand cheap vanilla essence flavoured ice cream.
Its no doubt positive for now but i must say you learn a lot more after New Year break and match practice starts. Understand player IQ’s and nuances etc
Does Perkins look bigger??
Great report, CJ. As always.
Is Perkins getting better at taking the first option and not trying to do anything too complicated? That often seemed to be a problem for him last year: he’d get the ball with an opponent bearing down on him, and instead of just getting rid of the ball to the first teammate he saw, he’d try to sidestep the opponent and set up for a perfect pass, but end up buried by another opponent that came from another direction. Is there less of that? I know it must be hard to tell from training sessions where the pressure is never as high as in an actual match.
So can we lobby to have our VFL side replace Gold Coast in the AFL so that we can see an Essendon vs Essendon grand final?
FEJO sounds like a HB version of Walla. Elusive, poised and skillful with ball in hand.
It’s great to hear that we seem to be prioritising getting the ball into the hands of our best users.
Today he was more aggressive on moving the ball on to teams advantage. Better signs
Sorry mate I don’t remember any players called Think Kav and Stein Edwards, did they play in the 30’s or 40’s?
No…not at all. He is slimmer though still good tone in arms… seems to be by design that his run and carry be more a focus

Agreed. You can’t trust @saladin.
So what is the knock on Voss ?
Thanks
Your comments will ensure a happy week end for me.

And even then it’s only intra club and virtually training. I can remember being impressed with Grimley in training match sims in the 2016 pre season.
