Former #10 Saint Francis, sacked from the Sydney Diocese

OMG, how bad was that decision. I was honestly in shock.

The work they’ve done giving him the big jobs on the big forwards (including last year) is starting to pay dividends.

His 1 on 1 work is rapidly improving.

He had a rough round 1, but he’s bounced back pretty well since.

Think he had two of the worst calls of all time go against him tonight. Like the way he was playing on Buddy but still ran off as third man. We need someone like Stewart back badly but he’s not embarrassing himself.

He would be a gun in another team that dosen’t get bombarded with inside 50s

Not exactly bombarded

You’ll eat that pie regardless

After week 1 (where he was well off) he’s faced a bit of a murderers row of key forwards and has actually looked pretty decent. Truck publicly praised him in the presser last night too.

Amazing what a bit of confidence can do.

So is the outfield at the SCG Bermuda Couch, or Ryegrass and how deep is the thatch??

So does Franga get Rafa or the Snake this week?

Whoever it is, needs to kick him in the calf.

Brisbane is probably the biggest challenge yet for our somewhat undersized key defenders. Two key forwards in Daniher and Hipwood who are over 200cm.

Yep. He should be playing like this pretty much on the regular now. He was good last night again. A defender is going to have the odd forward that gets a hold of them on occasions but Frances was generally on Franklin’s hammer most of the time. Its not an easy assignment to play on that freak.

I feel a bit bad about laying into him after Round 1 but at the same time, once you are three or four seasons into AFL then criticism is warranted if you don’t perform.

He was great last night but my blood is still boiling from the umpires.
The common potatoes said that Franga was beaten by Buddy with pure strength but am I missing something :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Based on how we’ve been setting up, I think he’ll go to Joe, and Lav might go to Rafa.

Still shaking my head, as to why we are playing Francis on Dixon and Franklin.

IMO Laverde looks more at home as a shut down tall defender.

Francis did ok on Buddy

Francis to JD
BZT to Hipwood
Laverde to Cameron (Cameron doesn’t normally enjoy playing on Grimes and the taller agile defenders, time to give Laverde the big task and see if he is up to it.

Ridley, Hind, Redman 4th, 5th and 6th forward
Heppell likely 7th defender would prefer Guelfi.

According to Ridley, Ridley is 195cm.
