Thatâs not necessarily true. Every year there are a few players who are not cut in the first wave of delistings but get cut post trade period or post draft. Iâm crossing everything this is one such example
What the â â â â is wrong with us as a club. Itâs obvious that Weed isnât in our best 22 and wonât be in our next premiership side.
Why sacrifice two list spots on Goldy and Weed??? It just doesnât make any sense. I donât want them as back up. Surely we can find another ruck as back up that will provide as much in games as Goldy did in the 2nd half of the year.
Weed⌠Honestly thought he would have been the first delisted. â â â â me Baldwin got delisted and we kept Weed? What the hell is wrong with us.
I guess thereâs a small chance we gauge trade interest before making the call, but most of these things happen well in advance, in the background, these days.
We currently have four off the senior list. That could grow to at least six, with question marks over Stringer, Laverde and Shiel.
If you lose Stringer and Lav, for example, you turn the two picks into whatever is needed for Kako.
That could be six players off the senior list, with only three coming in through the national draft. Thatâs three further senior spots to fill with SSP shitkickers/project players. We also have cut two from the rookie list.
If it comes down to cutting Weid to pick up a fifth long shot/SSP player, Iâm probably keeping the experienced guy.
What about the knowns. We know that Weideman isnât up to it. We know that Goldy is finished. There is no valid argument for retaining either of them.
