Yeah-nah Sheeds earnestly believed Aaron Hennemann was a better player so consistently picked him before Ted. Anyone with eyes could see Ted was a better player than Hennemann every day of the week.

I thought it was possibly informative that there wasnt much evidence of pack marking or crashing packs for a key forward.

But, hopefully he can find a role in the team and regularly kick goals.

Welcome to young Sam as I think we may have found a bit of a diamond in the rough with this one. Breeding wise his grandad Murray Weideman was just before my time but a Collingkwood legend. And much more than just the football equivalent of a hit man. “He won the Copeland Trophy for Collingwood’s best and fairest player in 1957, 1961 and 1962 and was usually among the Magpies’ best players in important games. Selected as CHF in Collingwood’s official 'Team of the Twentieth Century”.

They’d still talk about Weiderman in boastful tones when I as a young kid went to Victoria Park away. So if he’s half as good, half as effective as Murray was and can kick straight he’ll be alright by me.

We need big game players.

As I remember they both played about the same number of games in 2005, in a poor side.

Both left the Bombers after that year. Henneman had a lot of injuries, so maybe Richard’s only got a game when he was injured. I always thought Henneman was a better player at Essendon but Richard’s had a fine career at Sydney and in 2006 I think played every game.

yeah and if you look at the ones where he does jump he just doesn’t get his hips very far off the ground. there is an uncontested mark he takes against us where he almost bizarrely doesn’t jump at all.

Talls take time. This bloke like wright was is entering the prime age for there size.

This is a good pick, at worst he provides a needed big body in fwd line and a chop out in the ruck. This should help wright a lot.

Doesnt matter if he kicks bags of goals if he is allowing others too by drawing defenders away.

Both our picks should allow our 2 most dangerous fwd to spend more time in the fwd line

Look at how happy he is!

I wonder if they are giving us a clue to his jumper number?

I imagine so. Would think Eyre’s papers have been stamped.

No but I’m convinced that @alex.f.94 is Alex jones in disguise

I’ll be glad to see that jumper gone from our eyes! Let’s get back to the regular jumper ASAP!

Meh. Not sure we needed him or that he will be any good. Smells of a Mahoney favourite, and thus over inflated opinion of him.

Back him in to play a role. Best case scenario he has a 2MP like rise, worst case he’s a decent depth option
