He asked to be played in defence simply to keep his career.
As a forward, he would have been delisted, and heβs nowhere near good enough to be given a position heβd want. Ridley is a much better player.

I agree thatβs why I said it was a stretch to say he was played out of position.
Iβd be interested to know who you think heβs kept out of the side over that period?

We would have been stuffed without Lav this year.
Heβll go great in a team where he doesnβt have to be the no 1 defender, taking the best forward.

13 straight losses probably indicated we were β β β β β β with him in the team, too.

We were stuffed when all our talls got injured
even if lav gets the 2nd or 3rd best forward, it isnβt going to fix his biggest issues
His disposal -which is awful
he misjudged the flight of the ball a lot and loses his man or it goes out the back
he always gives his all, so he has my respect.
But no team that has any intentions of competing in September is going to be playing him in their backline
