That’s not what I said at all.
IF he was 25 you’d lock in that youth. He’s not. So 2 years is sufficient. 1 year is a joke.

Sorry, what did I get wrong? You said if somebody is offering him 2-3 years. 3 years will take him through to 33.
Brad getting the best out of him and I can’t see why that won’t continue.
Almost Chad Warner like with this skill and speed.!
OK yeh, he is no Chad Warner, but arguable BOG for a team thats currently #2 on the ladder, he was a standout.
I reckon he was caught halfway between the two options and that’s where the ball ended up.
Didn’t he have a near identical moment v port.
Eewww, what’s that, what’s that brother
Nick v Fark Carlton: 25 possessions, 2 goals, 7 score involvements, 4 marks, 5 tackles
GO NICK!
Fixed
Sounds like he just wants to play AFL as long as he can. I feel like he’s much better than other clubs fringe players. I reckon if we offered him 2 years at base rate he’d jump at it.
Do you really believe someone is offering him 3?
If he wants to do a Hartley and take 2 x 300 instead of 1 x 250 then I would take the 3rd rounder.
Don’t get me wrong, he was sensational on the weekend, and pretty good the two before it, but let’s be clear eyed about what level of player he is and where he’s at in his career.
He’s having a really good year but I’m not sure it’s any better than 2021. He was pretty good that year. There was a reason we cursed that chicken run!
He is the only player on our list to make those forward 50 daisy cutter entries look like passes. Elite.
Hind is the perfect example of what consistent games and trust from the coach can result in. His inconsistent form has often been when he’s in and out of the side, playing the sub role due to his impact skillsets.
Hard to say from the outside what the trust level from the coaches is, so maybe that’s the difference, but in terms of selection there’s not a lot of difference between this year and last.
Clearly it wasn’t an issue under Rutten when he was only the sub once and played 43 of 45 possible games (1 omission, 1 roast chicken).
Yeah, but I think he needed to earn the trust.
But good on him. His last two to three weeks has been excellent.
Cult hero Nick Hind.
He’s the type of player that is going to fend off a Daicos or a Curnow then kick a match-winning drought-breaking Grand Final goal.
Get around the young lad.
Was ordinary tonight, the run is done
The knives come out quick don’t they.
Still somehow in the team, should have been dumped in 2022.
