Heās 20 ffs and apart from last week hasnāt set the world on fire on the 2ās for nearly half a season.
I know people are desperate around here but it wreaks of another āgreat white hopeā.
Vossy will get there. Youād have to have ā ā ā ā for brains to think Brad Scott wouldnāt have a soft spot for a kid who loves to be physical and protect his team mates.
At least by not playing him we avoid the avalanche of Blitzers wanting to drop and sack him if he as expected played a poor game and looked a bit lost out there.
I agree. Bit of panic about Voss and Baldwin leaving, and I personally think Scott sees something in both of them and reckon they will stay. Voss has been named as emergency a few times, including this week - and pretty sure he was told he was part of the 2024 plan. Also pretty sure Baldwin feels he owes the club for his first couple of seasons in rehab.
I think the coaches have definitely been making them work on deficiencies in the 2ās, from which Baldwin has improved his game and found a new position. Voss has had some nice games, but still needs to work on a few things. As much as I was hoping he would get this last game (esp. with so many changes) it is no surprise he has been held back. And on top of that we have had players in both of their suited positions (Langford/Stringer & BZT/Lav) most of the year.
I really hope my gut is right, can clearly see both having a role in the team moving forward, and I reckon they will be retained. Canāt imagine Brad would think either are dead weight, they have been 2 of the better VFL performers this year. Both definitely a work in progress.
Weed is his boy, he sets great standard of the field and trains really well in the low contact drills, expect him to be wearing the red and black as long as Scottās at the club.
