Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

Scott doesnt rate him or Baldwin.

but they are exactly what his team needs.
And he should hVe played setterfield
last week.

Phillips gets a fkn send off game after what 40 games with the club Bellchambers didnt even get that.

Stewart played 60 games and no send off.

could have made s spot for vossy. without little effort.

Bryan can ruck a full game. just dont see any piint in playing phillips at all or Weideman if he plays up forward or snelling.

He’s 20 ffs and apart from last week hasn’t set the world on fire on the 2’s for nearly half a season.

I know people are desperate around here but it wreaks of another ā€œgreat white hopeā€.

Vossy will get there. You’d have to have ā– ā– ā– ā–  for brains to think Brad Scott wouldn’t have a soft spot for a kid who loves to be physical and protect his team mates.

hes 20

Great. And will be 20 until the 29th June next year. So he’s young and has plenty of time.

Scott can’t play voss because voss is the only player who legitimately challenges his alpha status

Well said.

At least by not playing him we avoid the avalanche of Blitzers wanting to drop and sack him if he as expected played a poor game and looked a bit lost out there.

No certainty that he’ll get there. Has attributes but also has a lot to work on. And besides he’s a Dodoro ā€œspecialā€

I agree. Bit of panic about Voss and Baldwin leaving, and I personally think Scott sees something in both of them and reckon they will stay. Voss has been named as emergency a few times, including this week - and pretty sure he was told he was part of the 2024 plan. Also pretty sure Baldwin feels he owes the club for his first couple of seasons in rehab.

I think the coaches have definitely been making them work on deficiencies in the 2’s, from which Baldwin has improved his game and found a new position. Voss has had some nice games, but still needs to work on a few things. As much as I was hoping he would get this last game (esp. with so many changes) it is no surprise he has been held back. And on top of that we have had players in both of their suited positions (Langford/Stringer & BZT/Lav) most of the year.

I really hope my gut is right, can clearly see both having a role in the team moving forward, and I reckon they will be retained. Can’t imagine Brad would think either are dead weight, they have been 2 of the better VFL performers this year. Both definitely a work in progress.

I hope Scott uses this game to work out which of the dead wood is up for trade or delisting. Weed has to go close to a delisting surely

Voss to have a standout preseason and slot straight in to CHF in Rd1.

At Hawthorn.

Weed is his boy, he sets great standard of the field and trains really well in the low contact drills, expect him to be wearing the red and black as long as Scott’s at the club.

manifesting this warrants a ban imo

What’s the bet some other club picks him up and he becomes a reliable 30-40 goal a year forward?

Will ban myself if it happens.

I totally get he has things to work on, like all young forwards, but he’s had plenty of good games in the VFL and has earnt a shot imo

Its truly odd we haven’t had at least a look at him. Even more odd its not this week.

Better pump games into weideman i guess

He might be right, but who is he and why does his opinion matter?

Not sure, but he just wants a fair go for all.
