Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

Hunter has potential

Good decision, wasn’t up to it, time to move on. We should of flicked Weid as well. Investing in Hunter is the right decision.

Yep.
Investing in the guy that’s barely been on the park for 3 years is the right call. Fits right in. (I actually like Hunter fwiw).

probably not over the course of a career, but i have distinct memories of james podsiadly and josh jenkins rinsing the fk out of us in the early 2010s

No one should be surprised at this, I said it mid year that he wasn’t rated by the coaches and he’d likely get mutualed.

If I could pick 1 to keep between Voss and Hunter it’s an easy call, Hunter.

Hope he finds a home elsewhere.

If only Jenkins was a delisted rookie…a traded rookie, more like.

We are basically hoping that one of Jones or Hunter break out. Neither of which are very robust.

Let’s continue to hope.

Rather contrasting threads between this one and the Snelling one. Snelling actually played some good games, and was a handy player (albeit with limitations), and did the team thing. Voss on the other hand only showed that he was an ok VFL player

Look. I’d prefer it be Voss that’s chopped over Hunter (who I think has more upside). But the fact that Weiderman is still there (I know he is contracted) over Voss is the ultimate failure in list management.

the greatest player to have never played a game with the EFC

Should have played a game this year. ■■■■ Brad.

Bit disrespectful to the great Austin Lucy

Only Manton himself would have graffitied that

Turns out he wasn’t the Messiah. He was only a naughty boy.

Couldn’t help myself.

Went to school with Glenn. Can confirm.

Exactly.

He had a lot more forward craft to learn to be able to get involved when he wasn’t being the target coming out of goal square.

And even when he was doing that, was not a marking threat

Many an undersized kpf does well at VFL level but can’t transition that to AFL

Maybe they might have persisted with him more if there wasn’t the off field question marks but given there may be he’s left himself at risk of being cut and here we are

Hunter is a genuine kpf option whilst also having a capacity to play fwd/ruck, if decision was between the two glad they went the way we did

Also probably shows what we want a key forward in the draft

Where’s all this nonsense about off field issues coming from? I’ve seen a few people speculate today but don’t recall having ever seen a single thing mentioned about it previously.
