Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

We’ve gone from holding onto players five years too long to cutting players at least a year too soon.

I dont mind it always thought we didnt turn over the list quickly enough.

If rookies or msd picks cant break into the senior side with in 3 years they should be moved on

Disappointed with the Voss call.

I used to be a Snelling fan because of his pressure and goal assists, but I remember sitting at a game this year and he had a shot from about 35m out. An opposition supporter near me looked concerned and I reassured her “don’t worry, he’s outside his range”. Sadly proved to be true. But he gave us 60+ games so good on ya Will!

Disappointing that he didnt get a run in the seniors. I reckon weve missed a genuinely great player here by not continuing with him. Hope he gets a 2nd chance somewhere else.

Also his delisting may be a sign on who we are targeting at draft

Duursma the top target if we could find a way to trade up, medium fwd/mid. Then there is Caddy and now this other player Leake (put article snippet in draft the read) a bolter as well as medium fwd also.

Too young, physically developed, aggressive, and uninjured for our list demographic of jobbers.

Easy delisting.

It’s okay, we have Weiderman.

Archer Reid also if we can trade up? Even though he is still slight

Could’ve had both of these guys if we had of played the kids like Voss this year.

Awful decision, but sadly that is becoming a common theme under Scott.

So we chose to keep Weed over Voss. A young kid, who has some weaknesses but also just won our bnf as a 20 year old. He shows aggression, which if our other forward line players show even a hint of aggression?

And before anyone says Weed had a contract, contracts mean nothing- you can pay the guy out

I lose more faith in Scott with each passing month

Given there was plenty of talk about his off field behaviour and lifestyle and the clubs messaging has all been about professionalism
I have a feeling this wasnt a decision based on football ability

Also I agree with some others who have posted Hunter is a much much more talented player if he can get on the park

Yes, I dont know how much was speculation vs knowledge but I dont see him being a delisting if he was doing everything right off field, he showed enough to warrant more opportunity

Brad Scott made a big deal about the ‘AFL lifestyle’ stuff.

So far, it seems to have been limited to rookies who never played a game.

But somehow, that was why the seniors sucked.

This is a disappointing decision.

Let’s say this was based on his “off field” lifestyle, of which there has been nothing ever being mentioned

Why is Voss the guy that is being let go. How is a guy like Stringer who year after year is unfit and overweight still on the list?

Is staggering to me that after making a big deal of the players living an “elite lifestyle” , there hasn’t been any big delistings / players up for trade of note.

Scott seems to like talking a big game, but always takes the easy route when it comes time to make the hard decisions

Edit: damn you @Paul_Peos , you got in first!

I reckon Brads a bit of a bully TBH. Talks the talk, and then takes it out on the low hanging fruit.

Simple, elite talent exceeds professional lifestyle.

If you don’t have either you are done.

If you have elite talent then you get 1000’s chances to make it and get professional. e.g DeGoey
