The only player I heard that about was Jones.
We drafted him as a late pick so I’d guess the expectation were pretty low. I don’t think that’s a good reason to keep someone on, especially if there are other young players you rate higher still developing and there are other positions with absolutely no depth.
I think the key issue with Voss getting delisted is not that Voss is going to be a star (I would suggest that is unlikely), it’s that Jones & Weideman are still on the list ahead of him.
It seems the choice came down to Hunter & Voss and based on the glimpses we saw of Hunter, he is exactly the player we are missing. So I understand the choice. This is why it is sad what happened to Hunter.
Therefore the confusing part is the Jones & Weideman decision, though contracts may have played a part. We need a level of competitive intent & that is something Voss did bring if nothing else.

Wasn’t that just garbage speculation on here by people trying to come up with a reason he was delisted/not picked?
Haven’t seen anyone even pretend to have any real info to back it up.
Has certainly kept himself in far better shape that some on our list.

Opposition players and coaches know our players are soft, anyone who follows footy knows that, we get beaten up and intimidated every year and no one flys the flag, not Heppell, not Merrett… although I should say that I have seen McGrath try and do it at times so credit to him.

I’ve seen Langford aswell.
But yes we have been flat tracked bullied last 15 years minimum as refuse to stand up and say no.
We just laugh out on the ground, walk away when a Parker calls out Shiel or tilt our heads down and muck around in the change rooms after.
It’s a joke, you can’t tell me that’s not infectious, you could bring Maynard to our club he would be half the aggressor he is at Collingwood

Langford regularly makes someone accountable if they’re rough on our players. He did it during the Saints hitout too.
