Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

Agreed. I’m not upset that we chose Hunter over Voss, given their comparative form at the time. But I am a little upset we didn’t at least try Voss after Weed did nothing for some 7-8 weeks, and our season was shot anyway.

Talking absolute rubbish wasn’t enough, now you just make ■■■■ up?

FYI his goals dried up for a while as he was moved up the ground to play CHF, to try and balance out his game a bit. Did he have deficiencies? Of course, find me a 19 year old key forward that doesn’t.

No guarantee he would/will make it, but you don’t need to invent reasons to pot him.

I wouldn’t have. I’m rubbish.

Langford came straight over though not many others

Jones was injured after round 5 iirc. So they actually opted not to play Voss even in his absence, not so much “poor returns”.

For me, Baldwin copped some strange selection decisions. Not Vossy , overly.

Is there any chance you can stop making ■■■■ up and posting whatever thought bubble you have from moment to moment? You wonder why you keep running into strife on these boards?

Ffs. You’re 40-something years old iirc. Get a grip.

I know he had some confidence issues going next level but I don’t think it was anything like this.

I dont get what your point is? Aaron heppell was a good VFL player

My point is still the same. Average players dont win VFL B&Fs. He had to be doing something right

Just wish we didn’t have to have players that could play 3 roles. For most of the list 1 is enough.

This whole thing around voss is actually ridiculous. Maybe he’ll be good at freo. Maybe he wont. Who knows? Im not sure why people hold such anomisity towards those that wanted to see him be given a go

But people legitimately go out their way to convince themselves that voss is no good and the truth is, no one knows either way really. They just think the club must know what their doing to delist him. These people are normally the same ones who give harry jones every excuse and opportunity in the world every week wben he doesnt hit the scoreboard.

I suspect Voss wasn’t played in the main game as a load management thing. He’s only just signed on as an SPP, he’s likely doing a modified pre-season.

He can only grab the opportunities they give him and last night was a good start.

No animosity at my end.
It’s just funny and ridiculous that Voss kicks a couple of goals in a WAFL hit out and the clappers are all over it.
My recollection is also that Vossy was dignified in his departure from EFC and had no ‘animosity’ towards the club.
I like his style and any success coming his way will be great for him as a person.

Would be a good fit at St Kilda

He’ll be doing very well getting ahead of Amiss, Jackson, Treacy and even fkg Taberner.

Do you honestly think the only thing people are considering is his performance in a brief hitout yesterday? Sure it reignited discussion, but I can’t believe you’re naive enough to believe that.

Also I’m confused now. I thought “clappers” were people that thought the club could do no wrong. Who’s the “clapper” in this situation?

You know , the Voss ones

Well i mean, weideman and jones cant even kick 1 between them. I get the frustration. But the basis of this isnt just over whatever he did yesterday. Its the fact we’ve got two useless key forwards on the list and decided to delist a 19 year old who potentially might be good
