Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

we seem to get really unlucky, all the time then

the amount of soft tissue injurjes and repeat injuries to individuals of the same injury (thats concerning, imo) we’ve had and we’re at round 4 doesnt scream luck to me, it screams mismanagement. maybe it is luck. but, looking at the below, maybe its not? its surely just a little eyebrow raising.

walla calf
jones ankle
stringer groin
jones ankle again
langers hammy
snelling calf
stringer hamstring
snelling calf again
stewart calf

That’s the nature of injuries though. Previous injury, overwhelmingly, increases the risk of re-injury.

Without looking it up across other clubs, again I doubt we are a large deviation from the norm on this.

Nice work. LOL at Geelong.

I will note for teams playing young teams anyway, the impact of injuries would be less obvious there.

im not sure, but i dont think it reads great. ie - snelling pinging the calf 40 minutes into his return is a bad look. no matter how you look at it. any time that happens at any club, that’s not bad luck. its bad management

im not saying sack everyone, but that in isolation is bad and our Soft tissues are pretty high so far

lets re visit end of the year

Why pamper them ? They should have old brick floors, laid by themselves…

Or beaten earth…

Auld brick floors, laid by themselves? Beaten Earth?.… Looxury, looxury that is
In my day we had to chew up stones at the quarry to make the gravel ourselves, and then walk 12 miles to spit it out on the field

[Queenstown Oval] a nice real example BTW! (Queenstown Oval - Wikipedia

The hills have eyes

What we never take note of, is the times when someone ‘pings a calf’ or similar, plays a few weeks later - is is perfectly fine.
