Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

McKay & Gresh are all him

Remember when Brad was trying to refresh the Norf list in 2019 ? They brought in a Port Adelaide running machine named Polec on a $700k per year contract and it cost a first round draft pick , even though he had a bad history of busted navicular. Massive stuff up, but, well who was responsible for that decision? Brad might just have had some input into that.

Yes he did and it was strange that he wasn’t played.

So wrong. This is the best thread on blitz. Shows our health/well-being and culture, forward perspective and hindsight all in one hundred posts. Go Vossy!

Because the contract our dumb coach offered was crap.

Brad loves to develop young talent but only if they are good boys.

Brad is responsible for not picking, developing and nourishing him as a player. He picked him in 7 games in which he subbed him out or in of all 7, and publicly ■■■■ canned him post the game vs St Kilda.

A 1 year offer doesn’t change that Massimo was gettable by a club like Hawthorn who were able to give him a bit more financial surety and a LOT more surety of confidence, role and pathway, all because of how he was treated.

And that’s on Brad.

Edit: Replying to @hirdylloydy

I’m pretty sure @hirdylloydy is Brad

he singled our Mass- when Redman and Heppell in particular were WAY worse that night

Brad loves a low hanging fruit

Caldwell is a better player at Essendon. Where are the hit pieces on GWS? Durham is a better player at Essendon than when he was on Richmond’s VFL list. Why didn’t they give him an SSP spot? They could use a Duz. Liam McMahon just snagged 4 at the Cattery while Collingwood are crying out for a tall forward who can convert. Where is the ■■■■ posting about how spastic Collingwood are? Good luck to Voss, but he wouldn’t be playing like that now if he was at Essendon. His captain has admitted it.

Yeah, I must admit it was a very strange take by Brad

And maybe Archie Roberts doesn’t get a game in late 24 if Mass is still on the list. Swings and ■■■■■■■ roundabouts

Or maybe we have both on our list.

I just thought it was poor of Brad at the time to single out one player in a single game when two senior players were far, far worse

Everyone sees things different, I was ropable after that game and Mass was my number one person I was ■■■■■■ at. But yeah, the public comment from the coach straight after the game was unnecessary. Before I get 5 reply’s sticking up for Mass regarding that game I already know he was just a kid and had a heap of touches.

Could he have been the second DUDORO pick outside of Stringer to kick 200 goals for Essendon?

The way our midfeild delivers the ball who knows.

Lovers or haters of Voss. Has this been touched on yet….?

Him showing the ball to the ump and saying:

“That’s a mark, that’s a mark!”

Dramatic and comedy gold

why though ? because higgins kicked 4 on a developing player ?

have you been ■■■■■■ with kako this year, or kako when we don’t kick enough goals ?

what about roberts when he turns the ball over a fair bit, or when clarke get free kick given against all the time ?

it was game number what 5 odd for mas that night, he got done by a pretty decent player defensively, and had some decent offensive attacks.

That game seems to be the one defining and every lasting memory people have of Mas, like he was the only one on the list at that point, or now even that needs to tighen up defensively.

The whole ■■■■■■■ joint needs to do it, but again one kid in what roughly his 5th game, is the poster boy for so many on here to put a line through him cos of one bad game, in one specific area on the night.

Probably because people constantly bring up Scott’s comments. No one would remember the game otherwise.

Massimo D’Ambrosio seemed to step up when the other half-backs were quiet. What did you think of his performance?

Uh yeah I want to review it pretty closely because you know you can look at the numbers sometimes: Butler kicked 4, Higgins kicked 4. It’s more how they kicked them. Modern footy has gone past direct opponents and you play on him and judge a game on how he’s gone. There are so many rotations, and when you do play a team style defence it’s not going to be who on who at what stage. So I think there are some pleasing signs there but also some concerning signs there with the way we defended their smalls.
