I’d say Guelfi is pretty hard at it.
I’d give Archie Roberts a big pass mark too. They don’t all have to be tough guys, that’s a recipe for a dumb side, but smart, committed, play to their strengths, and not always farking confused about why they’re even playing the game would be nice. Also a Voss type, makes the young ones stand taller, gets the crowd going. It’s not rocket surgery
Yes, in fairness these two. Probably Nguyen as well. Could justify Caldwell.
But the rest? Meh.
I know you’re having fun and we’re all grumpy at how this is gone but I’ve seen you bring up WCE horrendous mismanagement of all of their drug ■■■■■■ players a lot recently - how do these statements align?
It wasn’t a social media campaign. It was one throwaway word Brad used in one presser and it was mercilessly seized upon by journos for a season. A load of absolute crap.
Think I have to change my mind on Voss. He can play…a little bit.
The thing is, there’s always an excuse that defends past Essendon players; and it’s never Essendons fault. Voss leaves cause he was unprofessional, yet magically finds it at Freo and is playing well. Daniher leaves because he was unprofessional, yet magically found it in Bris and went on to win a Premiership. Saad allegedly didn’t want to defend; clearly nonsense, etc.
Ultimately, he was worth a shot. Instead, we got Weid.
Thanks Brad, you fucken dunce. FRO and go find your Disneyland elsewhere.
I merely mentioned several of them were dead.
Rumour I heard is that he got caught making an appointment at a tattoo parlour.
To be honest mate, this narrative around playing up, ignoring warnings is being grossly overstated by some on here from what I know. All very convenient.
Huge blunder.
Played every game and didn’t miss a session. Going to end up kicking 40 + goals in a season. Bitterly disappointing.
Nah suits the Scott lovers narrative. Cant be right that he cant identify talent
Yeah but he was deffo on the nose beers and JD at all those sessions and game days, which is why he performed so poorly and only became a good player after he got off the plane in Perth.
Non vanilla panic merchants have no place at our club
This is not why daniher left, where did you even come up with this?
i know it doesnt suit your brad scott narrative but the talent was identified ,you can not keep someone on a list who constantly blows chances given to him.
Imagine you are a boss and you have great employees, except one who keeps doing the wrong thing, you see he has talent so you give him a few chances and he keeps doing the same thing, he starts to lure some of your other employees into doing this thing, other employees start to see this guy openly defying the boss by doing the same thing regardless.
At this point you start to look weak as a boss and some of your younger employees are starting to misbehave.
There is only one course of action in this situation, there is no point this page filling up anytime he has a good game, he couldnt work here, good for him he has taken his delisting as a shot in the arm needed to turn himself around. But to ■■■■■ and moan about it is to absolve blame of the person who truly caused his delisting….. himself
The knots that people twist themselves into to try and justify this decision, is embarrassing.
lol. Again, if he was such an evil and unprofessional person why did the club play him every single week?
Why did the club not reprimand him or sack him during the season?
He was one of the first picked every week in the VFL which might suggest he isn’t Satan’s spawn like the rubbish peddled on here by the cult of Brad
I heard Patrick Voss would leave his dishes in the sink unrinsed and laugh at Sam Wiedeman as he loaded them into the dishwasher.
Even if he had been kept one more year, he was arguably lucky to stay on their list after 2024. And I don’t know that that would have changed if he was at Essendon.
Would’ve played every game this year.
