So you managed to find a quote of Sheedy saying he was worried about the kid getting injured.
That’s great, except it doesn’t demonstrate that he was ACTUALLY fragile. If you can find them, there were frequent quotes from all and sundry suggesting he needed to change the way he played so that he wouldn’t get hurt. Except he didn’t, and he didn’t.
The fact that he would continuously take marks backing back in front of leading full forwards, week after week, and not get injured, shows your comment couldn’t be further from the truth. He was nick named rubber man for a reason.
Because Tex has some AFL physical attributes, but has been unlucky with injuries. I don’t think Baldwin has the physical attributes required for AFL players. Not tall enough or athletic enough to make up for his lack of height.
Been saying it for 2 years. The fact he’s injury prone just makes it a more obvious delisting.
I know Wanganeen has had foot injuries but I just don’t think he works hard enough to get fit.
Good, dedicated players find a way to be fit even when they’ve had injuries.
He’s played 11 games straight this season but to my eye it still looks like his biggest problem is not being able to run at the required standard.
I’d love to see how his GPS numbers compare to other players
New Rookie rules announced today mean Tex can stay on the rookie list for another year (does not need to be upgraded) which means he might get another lifeline if they club is 50/50 about him
