Feel for the young lad. Wishing him a speedy recovery and to hit 2024 at full speed.

I blame Young Stevo for all lifeā€™s problems

We broke him
Sack em all
Only Essendon
No one else has this sort of luck

Did I do it right?

You havenā€™t seen enough of him of you really believe that. Very rarely one grabs. Maybe once every 2 games

ā€œa bit backyā€ still plagues Essendon.

If youā€™re right then Iā€™ll retract my post about him being delisted. If club knew about this then we should be extending him as some have suggested. I really liked what I saw from him so Iā€™m sad we wonā€™t get to see more from him but hereā€™s hoping he smashes 2024 out of the park.

Certainly disappointing news but he has great potential.

The weid is gonna come good

Geez if youā€™re 22yo and under and 196cm or taller and play for Essendon, you are 100% guaranteed a back complaint that rules you out for a season.

Itā€™s too quick for us to have broken him, this must be something that was already in motion

Simon Madden and Dustin Fletcher would probably play 50 games between them if they played for us now.

Heā€™s just going through the Essendon KPP induction program

Not being a smartarse but what do you read about the wording

havenā€™t read the rest of the thread.

itā€™s an interesting situation.
the kid has set a 6 month contract on his head in the MSD.

now if you have injuries and are trying to hide wouldnā€™t you got for a longer contract to mask the problem ?

maybe he had issues and our S and C team made it worse ?

something seems fishy either way that within 3 weeks at the club heā€™s off for a full body scan.

Stress fractures are common in elite athletes, like 1 in 10. (Physiopedia) Obviously they occur most often in the feet and back. So, if you have 10 injured players, theres a strong chance one will have a stress fracture, having 2 is possible but unlikely, having 3 is quite unusual. We have about 3 already and now Jaiden. They might need to investigate practices in the weights room, in case players are trying to lift excessive weights.

Salmon would still have left and been more appreciated at Hawthorn.

Itā€™s a pity weā€™d be stuck going into a finals series with Illija Grigic and Ryan Oā€™Connorā€¦
And maybe Hird would never get over his ankle problemā€¦
And then never coach usā€¦
Hey, no saga!

Most MSD players put a 6 month contract on themselves because most other teams would shy away from drafting players and having to commit to a 12 month + contract.
The only guys with longer contracts are good ones wanting to just go to the one club (Jye Newcombe did this) or players who donā€™t want the hassle of moving interstate, losing their job, etc for a bullshit 6 month contract.

Jaiden has had injury concerns in the past. Think it was more knee problems. No knowledge of any back issues.
Itā€™s just ā– ā– ā– ā–  luck. Iā€™d still delist him. We canā€™t carry so many broken / awaiting to develop players on the list.

I saw all these new posts and was excited to read about his debut. FMD.
