Future Captain, with poll for your pleasure

Robersts is captain material

McGrath is too.

No one else imho. It’s not pick good players either. I just think those two look and act like likely leaders.

So what we thinking today?

Roberts

New broom.

Not Merrett.

Best leader, not necessarily best player. Only those on the inside would really know.

Problem is they are all media trained.

Need to be sent here. Heck even Tim should attend again.

True.

Which is why they removed Merrett from the leadership group a while back.

Even down to the commentary after every player mentioned that they are “progressing well after (insert season ending injury) sustained in round X”.

“But if the leadership group is picked on Merrett, surely he gets a gig?”

How good would it be if Kayle Gerryn was captain next season. Still without a senior game as voted by the fans. Far out

Make it happen

Matthew Lloyd non-playing captain*

*HFC matches only

A well-reasoned summary but I wonder if part of the appointment is to impress upon Andy the idea of also considering leading more from the front. A kind of AZ McGerrett. Having said that Mike Brearley has been voted England’s greatest ever captain. I think I would go Andy, Duz VC and Roberts deputy VC.

Too early for Sharp?

Just a question of how far into the future, before Sharp becomes captain. Straight after McGrath would be my go.
