@thedjr is doing three EFC things today. In order of significance:

  1. Attending the Melbourne International Film Festival for its world premiere of Like My Brother, a film about the Tiwi players in our 2019 VFLW team. They will be present for said debut, and of course Puruntatameri most recently played for us in January against the NT representative team. MORCS and Nanscawen are the only others to have played for us across 2019-2024. The general cinema release date is 17th October.
  2. Going to the AFLW “match simulation” versus the Hawks in bloody Wheelers Hill.
  3. Attending my first AFL game of the year.

Hardwick is winless in his last 11 games at Marvel.
Gold Coast are winless in their last 17 ‘away’ games.

If any club is going to hand them a drought breaking win on a platter consisting of slices of complacency, peeled turnovers, peppered low ‘footy IQ’ and contaminated bath water after an unexpected win last week … it’s this one.

I can’t believe the pessimism in this thread. Why would we lose to the suns today and miss finals when we could beat the suns, finish the season with an away belting against the lions, limp into 8th mentally cooked and get ■■■■■■■ obliterated by geelong in an elimination final. It’s like you people don’t even follow Essendon.
