Game-day thread versus the Dees (“Help us oh ROBIWON)

The chosen one is going to save us, well, maybe one day. Can’t wait to see this guy debut.

Zero touches to begin the day, personally don’t see it. Hope I’m wrong.

Heading down to town soon. Grab some Brekky at a cafe and then slowly wander down. The temp will determine if we leave the cozy confines of the facilities and head into the outer or not.

Gulp !

If you’re not the most talented on the field, you can be the hardest workers.

These players don’t hate to lose.

Jealous. Not of the match, but the experience you’ve described. I love the build up to a match before hand.

Having all of last years draftees debut by round 5 is good to see. Seeing 3-4 of them consistently in the team at once and looking like good potential AFL players for the future is what i want to see by the end of the season.

That at least gives us hope and hope is what this club and supporters need more than anything right now.

Going to the Thomas the Tank Engine at Queenscliffe today with the kids, can someone summarise Nino’s posts in this thread as

A) they are most likely accurate

And

b ) and totally unrelated, it is most likely my thoughts too

Parish letting his opponent sprint past him with the ball at the stoppage, while he stands and watches.

8 players from our 2021 finals side will play today. 9 players from the Dees’ GF side will play

Happy 18th y’all. Glad I’ll be there to witness history!

We can win this. Dees are brittle enough to fold when expected to win.

Though Gawn is a significant obstacle.

I just don’t see how we can contain Gawns influence and the Demons small forwards loom large against our slow defence. If Gawn dominates in the ruck the ball will live in our defensive 50m.

Outside of hoping our kids play blinders watching the Pickett’s live will probably be the highlight of the day

Slightly different ending for both teams in that situation.

I can’t.

Opponent doesn’t even need to sprint either.

Waiting 57 years for a Grand Final win… only to have it played in Perth. During a pandemic lockdown.

That is the sort of thing I would expect from us when/if the time comes.

You’re not excited for a centre bounce set up of Parish, Tsatas and Gresham??
