I would love to see McGrath played as a small forward today.
I know he is a good lockdown defender, but his errant and panic kicking out of defence is too risky.
Give him a lockdown role up forward, where he can complement Kako. He also has enough pace and is capable of hunting loose balls.
You know what players don’t practice enough? Penetration on snap shots.
McGrath doesn’t have it, from memory. Hobbs doesn’t have it, either.
In fact, I feel like I’ve seen so many Essendon snap shots just flomp in the middle of the goalsquare when they should be sailing through half-goal post high.

I don’t think I’ve felt any less expectation or pressure to win since That year.
Maybe even less than then.

I hope we win. It would be nice.
But if we’re ten goals down at half time, I’d think yeah…sounds about right.
Edit: a sell-out obviously suggests that it’s not a feeling many other fans have.
I guess I just don’t…see the point? Other than winning a game which as I’ve said is nice.

The other is Prior, I know he doesn’t have the pace to go with him, but, on the smaller ground positioning can be more important than speed.
