It’s a terrific day for Football folks. Debuts galore. Brad is obviously playing with us.
Go bombers, what could possibly go wrong?

Sorry my internet was a bit slow.
% booster, even if we lose.
Suns out, new faces in and much less ‘we should win this’ nervousness then previous weeks.
Looking forward to this afternoon
Feeling surprisingly excited about today.
Could be getting to show a 5 day old baby his first game (with his bro and sis), but more likely is the optimism that comes with seeing something different - two debutants plus a bit of Saady. Having said that, I don’t think we win, but I could see a universe where we give them a push.
First, please don’t play Saad as sub today. A direct spot has been opened up with Jones being injured and his dash could be useful on a quick deck. Hobbs, Shiel and Setterfield is an incredibly one dimensional bench. One of them should be sub.
Second, huge responsibility for Kako today with both other small forwards out (ADW is not that). I want to see him in the forward 50 all day. Sydney’s defence is very undersized, particularly without Melican, so there should be some opportunities for some ground balls (at worst). Caddy in particular will get a likely mismatch in Rampe.
On Sydney, while they had a good win against GWS, they hardly look world beating - particularly missing two of their four most dangerous players in Gulden and Papley. A forward line led by Aaron Francis and Hayden McLean shouldn’t cause too much lost sleep. For me, Hayward is their most dangerous and productive forward (assuming Heeney plays in the middle). McGrath should take him (not Redman, can’t deal with him playing loose all day).
As above, their backline is very undersized so 2MP and Caddy should get some looks. It is, however, quick and full of good ball users (lizard, bice, Roberts, Lloyd) so getting some ground level pressure with only one true small forward will be the challenge. Not sure what the solution is there.
Midfield is where we could be exposed. I actually don’t think Grundy is the worst match for Goldy, not as athletic as Xerri so if he could go close to halving that contest it would be a huge help. Warner and Heeney are the massive dangers. You would assume we have a plan for them - probs needs to involved Durham as Setterfield is not quick enough.
The key for me is how we stop their ball movement as they generally have much better skills than we do. No running a zone or this game will look like the Adelaide one where they Chinese checkers up the field for easy goals - we’ve seen this before against Sydney. Man on man, heaps of pressure on the ball carrier and maybe we can make a first or it.

Die Sydney you ■■■■■. I want to see someone get ■■■■■■■ belted
I have 4 kids yet 1 has never been to a game before as he’s been overwhelmed having ASD. He wants to come tonight with his brothers so very excited to take him in. ANC headphones and great there’s sensory rooms at Marvel.
Can’t wait to see more kids play. No expectations on the result but would be good to rattles these chickens
