I remember being abused by a Carlton supporter in her eighties leaving the 2011 Elimination Final loss. I was genuinely lost for words. I couldn’t believe the tirade coming from this old woman’s mouth.

I wanted to put this here, but didn’t see the game day thread until now, so:
Whilst 1999 was obviously awful. The fact they beat us twice in 2001 hurts too, clearly had a mindfcuk over us, the early one in 2001 when they had late withdrawals of all their stars and still won, plus they beat us again later in the yar had them suckling their own juices for ages. Then in 2003, you had the famous Houlihan chainsaw goal where they sunk us in Round 3 in the rain. In 2005, I remember on Blitz posting as a teen, raging about FATBOY Whitnall winning them the game and Hennenmen single handily killing us in the ruck in the last quarter. The hatred for them growing up was installed early.
On the other hand, the Lonergan tackle game where they sooked all week about us being a little mean, Zaka kicking winning goals against them and the game where Pears went nuts were all faves.
All I can say is Fark Carlton, my they lose always.
