It was worth it when we starting asking them if there was a fire drill.
Oh and the bloke who tried to climb up the standing room platform from behind so he could start some crap, and got thrown back.

That was probably the most cops I’ve seen at a game, at least since coming back to Melbourne.
Would love a random to kick a bag like O’halloran for GWS yesterday.
Who could it be? Perkins? Setterfield?
I was there too, shocking just shocking
That was my first FC experience, and also my worst.
Got an inkling the coaches have set for this game from a few weeks out. Resting Goldie. Mid rotations were different last week, seemed to be managing the time our young guns spent on ball.
Expecting a good showing.
Effort and intent will keep us in the game, but we need some class from our top tier, Langford, Wright, Ridley, Merrett, Stringer, to win it.
Yep, need a big one from Langers
Last week our 4 tall-ish forwards (2MP, Langford, Jones, and Stringer) kicked 2.6 between them. I feel like collectively they can’t play as badly as they did last week.
enjoying Kevin Sheedys company?
If they do, I know who to blame
Bloke got a thumping from the rent a cops too
But seriously, i have a bad feeling about this. FC by 6 goals
Landed in Melbourne for the game. Only 2 words come to mind.
Fark Carlton
Feeling the same way
Their team is ahead of ours at the moment imo but I don’t think the difference is insurmountable.
Comfortably better forward line - two big key forwards who clunk marks which is a massive advantage in a massive game like this.
Backline - comparable. They may have a slightly better backline for distributing. But McKay/Rids > Weitering/Mcgovern.
They have two genuine wingers in Hollands and Acres who keep their width. We would have matched them here with Duursma. But they have the advantage here for now.
Ruck - this is their big advantage. De Konig is in very good form and very handy when it hits the deck. Let’s just hope a rest has helped Goldy.
Mids - feel like game gets won and lost here. Cripps and Walsh are great players but I’d hope it’s our second tier in Caldell/Perkins that could beat theirs in Kennedy/Hewett. Fark I wish we had Parish. Need to put time into Cripps. I’d give it to Perkins to get him into the game.
Having said all that, big games like this is often about executing in the right moments and taking the chances that present. There will no doubt be momentum swings so if we can batten down the hatches when they have theirs and not let Curnow/Mckay get off the leash (big if) we are a decent crack.
Careful, thar could be interpreted as a challenge!
Count your blessings that you weren’t around for the 1968 GF.
Anyone used Ticket Merchant before? Dodgy oorrrrrr?
