Tried to reason with Fark Carlton nuffie midway to tone it down a bit half way through the 2nd quarter when he stood up and applauded a 15m sideways kick from Hewett.
Said that he needs to scream so the players hear him.
We shouldn’t be this far behind, but the lack of class and polish under pressure is telling. We are trying, you can’t doubt that, but we are getting burnt when we turn it over. Wright, Langford, Atringer output so far as a collective unacceptable from your best 3 forwards. I can see Tsatas getting introduced part of the way into the 3rd for either 2MP or Harry. It should be the former, he’s been well below par.
Serious question - do we do any forward craft practice at training?
A couple of times it looked like the forwards were completely disinterested and not leading to the ball. I know it can get congested - but surely you plan for that.
And the number of times we hit up a Fark Carlton player in our forward 50. Crazy.
Feels like we’re playing well. Let down by inaccuracy and polish. Don’t think we’ll win, but at least make a game of it in the second half.
Surely you have to consider Hayes or weed. Or just throw cox back. Or the logical answer is play Kelly back. Push hind up to a wing he can play there . Drop laverde all together
Nah, Ridley should never be on a key-we need two others so he can work free as the intercept defender. It was poor coaching in my opinion to have him on Curnow from the start.
